Novotel Cardiff Centre

Great location for Cardiff centre being a short walk away. Car park is very expensive. Drinks and food overpriced. Reception and bar staff very helpful. Gym and pool very good.

Bit run down. All over hotel really. Shame. Had an enjoyable stay though.

The located is good. We have stayed in the hotel before but this time the rooms were clean on the surface but old, tired and grubby in the corners. The bathroom smelt damp and there were silverfish. There was old black gum on the carpets. Not great.

Entrance barrier to car park was broken. Bug found in bath. Heating wasn't working - replacement one offered would have done well to heat the inside of my car, let alone a hotel room. Booked an Executive Room for our Anniversary in which was no different to a normal room, maybe more floor space? No towels or robes for use of Spa. Faulty key to room. The staff however were extremely helpful but felt bad for them as we had so many issues!

Quite a basic option for accommodation. Unfortunately the sofa bed our daughter was sleeping in was stained and when we complained we were offered towels to cover it with which personally I didn’t feel was a satisfactory solution. The towels also had a really odd smell, as did the shower gel / hand wash provided so it was hard to feel ‘clean’ whilst there. The room was lovely and quiet though which was a bonus

Was very disappointed in this hotel. We arrived at 2:45 to be told check-in wasn’t until three which I thought okay that’s fine then the room was not ready until 345 so we had 45 minutes of sitting doing nothing. There was no apology for the room, not being ready or anything That was a bit of a funky smell in the restaurant when we first walked in smell a bit like damn when we got to the room the room was nice. We spent the first night there when we run the bath. The water was green and had bits of sand or something in there was also bugs in the bedroom. They moved us to a different room which when we tried running hot water it was just warm overall, the day wasn’t the best sadly for the price that we paid I was disappointed. We did try and use the spa as much as we could and I noticed there was a nappy on the floor from the Monday until the Tuesday evening so I’m a little bit concerned about the hygiene and cleanliness of this hotel

Room was clean , bathroom could do with upgrade. No milk in room now to make a cup of tea.

We had a really lovely large room which was much appreciated. Great location for shops, restaurants. some initial problems with parking which was quickly resolved. This was our second stay at the Novotel. Would stay again

Decent hotel, with good breakfast. Pool and sauna were good but busy. Only downside is the rooms are not as modern as the common areas.

The hotel as nice and clean but furnitures are little bit old. Pool was great, we had great time. Hotel stuffs are kind, friendly and helpfull. We are happy and would stay again.

Our stay was okay, bed and pillows uncomfortable, tv turned off every 30 minutes, on site pub no table service

We had booked a night away as a treat for our children, unfortunately West Wales was issued with a red weather warning on our day of travel, sometjing i have never seen before! I called the hotel to explain that we wouldnt be travelling the 200 miles during the storm for the safety of our family, they said that they would happily change the dates of our booking but i would have to request this through Hotels.com, i have had numerous phone calls and emails with both the Novotel and Hotels.com and they have now said that there is nothing they can do and we loose the £400 it cost for our two rooms, we're devastated as we just didnt have the extra £50 to pay for flexibility and had every intention of taking the trip until Storm Darrah arrived. I would definitely book a hotel directly in future and would choose one who chose to help their traveller's rather than leave them devastated for putting the safety of their family first!

It’s a lovely hotel, very clean good gym and pool nice breakfast too

Was great, such a shame about the parking cost (£10) otherwise woukd have been perfect

The hotel was close to downtown and was easy to get to. It was clean and comfortable, and had lots of dining options.
