Great position and friendly staff

Needs a serious refresh throughout. Filthy carpets, tired and shabby furniture. Wasn't what I was expecting.

Not used

No hot water for a shower and no one around in the morning to speak to to sort it out.

Perfectly located to all of the best of The Mumbles. Rooms and beds are very well appointed. Nice art on the walls. The Oyster House restaurant staff check you in and they are very helpful and easygoing.

Lovely boutique hotel & restaurant, in a great location on the waterfront Checked into the hotel for two nights in October 2025. One of our guests has mobility issues, but Clare, Andreas and Sarah went above and beyond to make her feel welcome and comfortable. Such a friendly and professional team. Unfortunately no free parking nearby, but would definitely come back again.

Overall very happy with our stay. Staff were excellent, friendly and apologetic for the below reasons. Mumbles is the perfect ate way for the Gower Peninsula. Lift not working which should have been mentioned on booking. No room service on our stay. Parking is expensive all around but it should be made clear that booking by app rather than card/cash allows you twice the amount of time. Limited free parking on street.

I have stayed here 4 times, in room 8 and had an amazing experience every time. I booked nearly 3 months in advance, and requested room 8. I have mobility issues and there is a lift to the first floor, and this room has a walk in shower. On arrival at the hotel, check in was very quick, but there was no conversation, we were told to follow the corridor and our room.was on the first floor. I got to the lift, and it was out of order, and remained so for the duration of the stay. This posed quite a problem for me negotiating 3 flights of stairs. I feel that bookings should have been notified about the lift. To my further dismay, i was in room 6, which had an over bath shower. This was very problematic for me. The room was lovely, although there was a half empty bottle of water in the fridge. We ate what we thought was a complimentary mini tub of pringles, only to discover they were £2.50. At check out i volunteered this information to be told i would be billed by housekeeping. Check out was very quick and easy, mainly because thats all the lady said. This is a beautiful place to stay, in a gorgeous location, and while i would stay again for this reason, Ive come away feeling somewhat disappointed.
