Arrived in the evening our AC was not working..within minutes someone was at our room and then we were moved to another room as it could not be fixed. Second room ( non smoking room) smelled of smoke we called front desk again and they offer to move us we declined we were too tired after driving 17 hours. We had her note the smell was there so we would not be charged for smoking in a non smoking room. Carpets are very dirty and stained they need to be completely removed from the hotel Bathroom and beds were very clean

The property overall was well kept and the room was very nice and clean, but the old cigarette smell in the lobby and hallways was overwhelming. Good breakfast too.

Floor felt damp in room and door would not lock properly

The Cornwall Comfort Inn was very nice and comfortable.. The one negative was our request for a ground floor room was not available.. The staff was very helpful and the location of the property was handy to restaurants and gas stations. We booked rooms at 4 different Comfort Inns during our holiday trip and the Cornwall location was above average compared to the others, especially Edmunston, which was definitely well below par.

The first room we had, the tub had no stopper so you could not have a bath but the front desk staff moved us to another room which had a stopper but it did not seal so the water leaked out. Other than the inconvenience of moving and then not being able to have a decent bath anyway the hotel was nice, clean and the breakfast was very good. Hopefully they will get on top of repairs because the hotel was nice place to stay otherwise.

Staff were pleasant. Building is worn. Not very inviting. Breakfast not available until 7 am. Not ideal when travelling. Tub/shower unit very slippery.

Twice people walked into room. Once staff without knocking using pass key. Then from adjoining room. Very insecure singe door with knob lock between adjoining rooms. Flimsy lock on sliding door. Nothing like security which is common at other Comfort Inns. Asked to speak to manager and he was never available. Was promised he would be in touch after we checked out. Never happened. Very unsafe and no attempt to respond.

We were two ladies using canes and they helped us With our things into our roo. And were very friendly

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, no complaints.

The property is in need of a refresh.

The room was ok. Late night check in was good. No complaints.

Room was clean and well maintained. Breakfast buffet was ok.

A Stay Defined by Aggravation The Comfort Inn in Cornwall deserves its two-star rating. The word that best describes our two-night stay is aggravation—not because of one major problem, but because of many small ones. The room was dated and the bed only moderately comfortable. It appeared clean at first, but the carpet turned the bottoms of white socks black. The sheets did not seem especially fresh, and a strong air-freshener smell appeared to be masking smoke or other odors. About an hour after arrival, an employee tried to enter our room because the hotel’s app showed it as unoccupied. He was very embarrassed, and it was clearly not his fault. The old swipe-card system was especially frustrating. The back door usually required at least six swipes, once taking 17 attempts. Our cards also stopped working twice, requiring trips to reception for resets. Other guests were having the same problem. The air conditioning worked well, the shower was passable, the room was quiet enough, and the location was convenient. Breakfast was acceptable, though the powdered eggs, tiny sausages and terrible coffee were disappointing. The front-desk staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel gives the impression that management has delayed needed upgrades and cut costs too visibly. It may suit workers or undemanding travelers, but I would not stay again.

Property is looking a bit rindown on the exterior, but interior is good.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was a great surprise with hot eggs and sausage which were very good. The front desk called to check on us after we checked in to make sure everything was okay. Not every hotel does that. Kudos to the front desk person on duty at 5 pm on Sunday June 7th, 2026.

TV was fuzzy, apparently it was a cable issue. Not resolved.

Great location, very good breakfast and very polite and helpful staff.

Have been here several times & each visit has been excellent

Room had no hot water. Left however; they refused to refund any of my money.
