Clean rooms friendly staff

The hotel room was very small bit more importantly it had no hot water

Le minibar de la chambre numéro 104 ne fonctionnait pas durant mon séjour du 10 au 14 août 2025 ce qui est très ennuyeux lorsque l'ont souhaite mettre une bouteille d'eau le soir pour l'emporter le lendemain afin de supporter une chaleur à Rome d'environ 40 degrés. Lorsque nous payons une chambre dans cette Hôtel Dei Consoli à 100 euros la nuit avec les taxes, ont s'attend à ce que le minibar donc le réfrigérateur de la chambre fonctionne car si ce n'est pas le cas, il vaut mieux aller louer une chambre en Airbnb avec un réfrigérateur qui fonctionne.

One of the last remaining Italian hotels. Classic, traditional and authentic to the smallest detail. Such a joy to find a hotel true to the Italian culture despite so many others “renovating” and “updating” to the tacky business-modern-minimalist-IKEA image. If this hotel ever compromises their cultural integrity it will be regretful. Hopefully they value timeless over trendy. The only renovation should be to remove the carpet and return to original stone or tile. Everything else should remain untouched.

I stayed at this hotel mainly for its excellent location, which is ideal if you’re planning to focus your visit around the Vatican. It’s just a short walk from St. Peter’s Square, making it very convenient for attending Mass, papal audiences, or exploring the area at your own pace. The rooms are spacious, which is a plus in a city like Rome. However, the furniture and decor feel a bit dated, and the hotel would benefit from some renovation. That said, the room was clean and comfortable for sleeping. The breakfast was very good: a nice selection of sweet and savory items, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s a practical, well-located option if proximity to the Vatican is your main priority. A good value, as long as you’re not expecting modern luxury.

Wonderful location and just what I needed to relax. The staff was kind and remembered it was my birthday during my stay, very thoughtful.

Ontvangst was hartelijk en na een warm welkom waren wij blij verrast met onze hotelkamer. Ruim, schoon, veel natuurlijk licht, schone badkamer, leuk zitje en bovenal heerlijke bedden. Het ontbijt op het dakterras is alles wat je nodig hebt voor een goede start van de dag. Personeel is rustig, beleeft en vooral erg vriendelijk! Bij dag 2 werd gevraagd of ik wederom een espresso wenste, nou dan voel je je direct welkom. Mijn zoon heeft nog piano mogen spelen wat de gasten én hotel medewerkers enorm waardeerde. Dakterras is heerlijk. Enkel alleen officieel open voor ontbijt wat jammer is want hier kan je wel heerlijk zitten maar meer dan begrijpelijk. Locatie is precies goed in een veilige omgeving. Wij hebben een muntje met onze rechterhand over onze linker schouder in de Trevi fontein gegooid…. Dus we komen zeker terug.

This hotel is in great area within walking distance to fabulous restaurants and the metro. The rooms were clean and well kept and the staff is very friendly. It’s good for the price.

Charming and conveniently located family-run hotel in the Prati district adjacent to Vatican City. Breakfast on rooftop every morning is a great start of each day. The staff is friendly and service oriented. Best feature is the location - <10 minute walk to Ottaviano Metro, Vatican, the Tiber and (15 min) to Piazza Navonne.

The hotel is designed in an antique way, and ut makes it unique. Access is super easy and you are 5 minutes walk to Vatican!! I would recommend staying there.
