There wasn’t a phone in our room, which I discovered after I was ready to go to bed and needed to call the front desk for a service to our room but was unable to make that call due to a lack of phone. I tried to use my phone to make the call, but was not successful at it. The next day the clerk at the desk told me what I had done wrong with my cell phone and that’s why I couldn’t communicate through my phone. He acted surprised that I didn’t have a phone in my room as well. I paid €311.00 for one night, I would have expected that there be a in room phone available to me. The fact that wash cloths aren’t available to guests is also bothering to me, but it’s common in Ireland from what I experienced. The Hotel itself was very nice beds were comfortable and location was great!

It was great! We had originally chosen a bunk room but upon arrival they told us they don’t do those anymore and we were given a bigger room! The staff was lovely and very kind. The location was amazing and walkable to all the attractions. I would definitely stay here again in Limerick.

Das Zimmer war vom Ausblick her toll, das Bett hochbund bequem. Scheinbar wohnen im Hotel auch Keute ständig viele Tpren waren durch Handtuchrollen offen und es roch überall international nach gekochtem Essen. Manche Dinge müssten repariert oder erneuert werden. Tapete im Bad z.B. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich. Allerdings ist ein Frühstpck im Basement ohne Fenster nicht mein Fall. Das Frühstück für 16 Euro wurde frisch zubeteitet, den riedigen Pott Tee schaffte ich nicht und am SB Büffett gab es frisch aufeschnittenes Obst. Auch hier alle sehr freundlich.

Room was small, there is a heat wave and we asked for a fan but they had given out the last one and we were told there was nothing else to do. The bathroom door wouldn’t latch unless we slammed it shut. The carpet in the room was gross, dirty and peeling up in spots. The car parking option was discounted but paid about 20 euros and the parkade did not recognize my ticket/bar code so I was stuck there trying to get out. No fridge, no water bottles, it was very limited for what was available through the staff. I would have much rather paid more to stay annywhere else.

A great hotel near to local amenities

My husband & I stayed here for one night while attending a concert in St. John's Castle. It is a very convenient hotel as in everything within the city centre is walkable. It has parking facilities nearby but you will have to pay a discounted price. The hotel itself is okay. The reception area is nice with quite nice artwork. Our room was okay but we found the corridors a bit shabby especially near the lifts. The bar and restaurant is nice with a varied menu to suit most tastes. Last orders for drinks was at 12am which we thought was a tad early seeing as we were staying in the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not avail of breakfast. The price of our stay for one night was in keeping in what you would pay considering most hotels are expensive to stay in nowadays. I would recommend this hotel for a one or two night stay but you would probably require more comfort and facilities for a longer stay :)

Great hotel. Clean, tidy and friendly helpful staff. Bar and restaurant serving good food at reasonable prices. Seafood chowder was to die for. Just a short stroll to King John’s castle. Would stay here again should we come back to Limerick.

Dirty old room, not updated at all. Filthy what should be white curtains, stains all over carpet, greasy finger prints all over kettle. No a/c or fan so windows had to be kept open, noisy street below. They put the drinking glasses on back of toilet! Worst hotel of Ireland trip so far. Horribly uncomfortable beds and pillows. I’m
