The breakfast was fabulous. Room was exceptional and staff were super helpful. It was a great location and a fantastic stay - highly recommend!

The hotel is in a good location. It is a modern hotel with a great bar area. The bedroom was furnished to a high standard and was very clean. The only issue we encountered was being woke up early, around 6.30am, to loud banging noises from outside! We reported it to the reception as we thought it was the sound of a delivery driver unloading beer barrels to the hotel bar. The noise continued for some time so we were unable to get back to sleep. On advising the receptionist, we were met with blank face and a generic “sorry about that” which found to be without empathy or understanding. It left a sour taste for us and we won’t be back.

The hotel is really good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is also in a great location, within easy/casual walking distance to many premium historic sites an tourist attractions. The hotel breakfast is great too, although there are many eating/drinking options close by.

Comfortable room

Could not fault anything . We were able to check in just after 12. Room was lovely and clean roof terrrace was a nice extra . Bed was very comfortable plenty of space in the room . From the check in staff to the restaurant staff and bar staff all extremely freindly and made to feel very welcome. Everything was as the photos taken and described. Would 100 % recommend staying here . Tube stations a short walk as was the dlr station . And not forgetting the morning breakfast was amazing. Thanks for a lovely stay .

Very clean and prime location

Great stay, lovely place and very welcoming. the only thing to slightly moan about is when arriving back at the hotel to collect our bags later on in the afternoon. There was no one at the desk for 10 minutes and had no bell to alert any staff etc? Only a slight issue but if somebody was running on a tight schedule I'm sure this would have an impact on them.

Loved this hotel in what is one of our favorite areas in London. Conveniently located near Tower Hill as well as many TFL options within various walking distances. The room decor was outstanding and the bed offered the absolute best sleep ever. Loved the Nespresso coffee, teas and biscuits replenished daily, as well as the sparkling and still waters. The free breakfast, a la carte and self serve were fantastic! I will stay here again for sure. However, there are some caveats and things people should know before booking. First, the beds are listed as king size. Note the smallest "king" size is really a North American queen or double. But the bed comfort and sleep makes up for it. The staff at breakfast were phenomenal, except for one who truly seemed lost, distracted, or something to that effect. It spoiled our morning and took us 45 minutes to get our breakfast. Truly inexcusable. No apologies given. It took a colleague to proactively but remotely acknowledge that something happened. But there was no apology or remorse, just an excuse. Regardless, we'd stay here again. Note as well that this is a heritage building that has been renovated. The hot water on one day did not flow steadily and would waver between hot and cold. On another day they needed to cut the hot water completely. Lastly, bring ear plugs if you are not a sound sleeper. The floors do creek despite the amazing carpeting. And, the building rumbles gently due to public transit. Again, a non-issue for us.

We had a fantastic stay! Would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were all lovely, the bar was great and we got a drink on the house from the hotel, snacks/drinks included in the room. The location was brilliant. We had breakfast in the morning that was included in the price and it was fresh and so nice. The room was immaculate and really nicely decorated. All in all a great stay!

Hotel itself is very pleasant. I enjoyed a good sized room with excellent shower and bath. Very clean and well laid out. Great location very close to Aldgate tube station and about a 7 minute walk to Liverpool Street tube station. King size bed was two twins with a soft topper mattress which created a dip in the middle but slept ok. Bar staff and breakfast staff all very polite and helpful but Check In was terrible. Arrived at 2.15 pm and was greeted by what can only be described as a grunt from the "gentleman" behind reception counter. He was simply rude and disinterested. No form of welcome or smile. The worst check in experience I can ever recall. For the price point, the hotel facilities are very good but I simply would not stay here again given how unwelcome I was made to feel on arrival.
