Bin was not emptied before I checked in, rude gym manager and no hot water

The hotel was welcoming. Phoned before hand .They put a room that meet my disablement made sure that i had a walk in shower. I found that i could acess all the hotel. The room was clean .the entertainment in the evening was good.i did not try the food. As i had eaten before i got there .and left very early. I shall return to this hotel

We stayed in the family and it was nice and clean the entertainment was good and drinks was cheap also the pool and gym both very good and cheap to use

Me and my friend didn't even stay the night we were met with poor attitudes at reception then after booking in and getting to the room i can understand to a degrees that this is a cheap stay hotel however there are still health standards to uphold the room smelt so strong of adhesive from what im guessing as a fresh laid carpet but you could still smell the damp in the air the bedding was damp with hair on them, then i noticed black on the netting in the window so i checked behind and all the window had back mould all over the frames and damp inside the windowpains after being it was terrible and how it has gone un noticed is beyond me. I couldnt stay in condition like this due to my health with asthma and skin conditions so i asked for a refund as i could have to find alternative stay as the hotel was no suitable i just got hit with the we have a no refund policy and thats that so sorry or shock that the room was in such condition after 5 hours drive to be met with a room like that was so disappointing.

Second visit to this magnificent hotel and cannot fault anything really. Fantastic staff and always welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. At the moment it appears to be having renovation work which causes no problems for guests. It is brilliant the hotel fact is central to a variety of things for tourists, for example, shops, restaurants, bars, pubs and all viewpoints for sightseers. Finally the accommodation offers entertainment and a place to eat & relax.

I had to park underneath the building there was old carpets dumped under there and rubbish. The entrance door was broke, the gentleman on reception was very polite and well mannered. I had to pay extra for my dog and extra for parking. The room was very dated but I didn’t mind that, What I didn’t like was the fact it was freezing even with the radiator on. I couldn’t have a shower because it was so cold in the room.

I would happily recommend this accommodation. It is based at (and overlooks) Folkestone harbour which is ideal plus the shopping area is spread around very closely with plenty of places to eat and drink. This is the second time at the hotel and staff go above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

All around good hotel

Staff were nice, great location. Hotel itself was cheap but reflective of that it was very shabby and run down. There was no breakfast available as deliveries hadn’t come. There was a shoeless man passed out on the floor in the lobby at 10am, police there multiple times during our two day visit, felt pretty dodgy. Shower gel/shampoo dispenser empty, only one towel for two guests for two nights and no hot water in the shower in the evening. The bedroom had no lamps just harsh overhead lights, and we could hear every word the neighbours in the next rooms were saying. Would not stay again but it was fine for the price, the location is really great and the staff very nice and friendly, especially the man who had the unpleasant job of turning people away from breakfast.

It's a large hotel, totally cashless from check-in to the bar, no cash accepted anywhere. Made a mistake with my room allocation but quickly resolved by Dave on reception who was doing the job of two people. Decor could be better and the rooms but for what I paid it was outstanding. £5 to park your vehicle overnight but overall very good. The view over the sea in the morning was very welcome.

It was a nice room although abit dated. Comfortable clean bed.
