Great location and fine dining. Needs a serious upgrade on sound insulation. You can hear folks talking through the walls easily. I travel with work often and know a bit about the subject.

Great room with a spectacular view. Staff were friendly and gave excellent service. My only complaint was the noise—the hallway doors to adjoining suites crashed closed and we could hear the occupants of 3rd floor suite above us pacing heavily at night.

Loved it. Great ocean view. Very dog friendly We had a yummy breakfast in the restaurant with the same great ocean view as the tiny cafe was busy. it Was a good choice Highly recommend it to those with or without a pet. Staff all very helpful a friendly Thank for sweet little Birthday getaway

everything was great

The staff is tremendous. The front desk staff went absolutely above and beyond. I can't remember her name but my Folio says it was "swills". I hope she gets this message as she was amazing. The rooms are very modern, the hotel has a very retro beachy vibe, and the restaurant is among the best in Parksville. Try the Fisherman's Chowder. Unreal.

Great room & wonderful staff!

hotel is dog tolerant. lots of areas your dog is not allowed to use the washroom - you can go to the back of the dark wet muddy parking lot to let them go to the washroom. staff are always nice though. i'd say always fairly clean. my bathtub had a very slow drain so it was a bit gross to shower in (told them about it). rooms are not that sound proof. i usually stay here so its good when its affordable!

Well located with beautiful view of the water, nice rooms and friendly, efficient staff.

The staff and accommodation were both excellent. We appreciated having an EV charger on site.

The Hotel has and is undergoing some renovations with a clear desire to elevate up. Location is lovely as is the view from the ocean facing rooms. Really appreciated the Nespresso machine and creamers in the fridge. Currently they are missing a huge opportunity by not having their Front Desk staff, in particular, trained in customer service at the same level the hotel hopes to achieve. As first point of contact there was no greeting, actually no interest in us or our arrival other than getting my credit card to take security deposit (reservation was prepaid months ago). No sharing of the hotels amenities, and no mention of check out time. The next morning, 5 minutes after 11am housekeeping is banging (well loudly knocking as they could hear the hair dryer) on the door, immediately followed by the Front Desk phoning asking when we’d be out. Now if this was a busy conference hotel with numerous check in and check outs all expected I would fully understand, but this is Parksville, a busy SUMMER vacation town, and it’s now mid-November well in to the shoulder season. We were granted 20 extra minutes so completed our packing and promptly checked out. Again, no greeting, no questions about how was our stay, no thank you for coming or safe travels or hope to see you again. For context, there was no one else waiting to check in or out and 2 staff on, both when we checked in and checked out.
