We enjoyed our one night stay. Lovely surroundings, very charming place and friendly staff. The room was old and like the hotel in general was crying for a complete renovation. Dusty worn room with lots of insects (moths and midges).

Absolutely lovely place to stay, being over 100 years old the property does show its age but that all part its charm. The location and views made the stay even better. The staff was excellent as was the food. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning.

Late May, fine weather and a very busy hotel. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help everyone. The setting, trees, shrubs and walks were spectacular and the food and drink first class. A long way from our West Sussex home but worth it.

Had another great stay at Stonefeld, before we hopped onto the ferry for Islay. The staff is always attentive and friendly, plus the cocktails and dinner are good as well.

Häftigt gammalt slott som ligger väldigt fint. Rum känns klassiskt lyxiga och det var rent och snyggt. Rekommenderar att ta något att dricka i baren, väldigt trevligt stämningsfullt. Mat var bra men kanske något dyr.

We were late in checking in and the receptionist called us to book us a table for dinner, a nice touch. The food was incredible and the staff in the dining room were very attentive and friendly. The room (37) was huge and the finish of the furniture and materials was very good. We’ll be back.

Best place we stayed in the UK. My husband and I stayed at over half a dozen hotels on our trip to the UK this one was by far the most enchanting stay. Our room was something out of a storybook floor to celling drapes enclosed picturesque windows of stunning Scotlan veiws. The Loch

The hotel is a bit tired and the food (dnner and breakfast) was at best mediocre and far too expensive for the quality.

The hotel was all-round lovely, tho our room was a little neat in size but perfectly adequate. Food was very well presented and good variety tho perhaps more local produce could have been used

Dinner was very good in the restaurant. Our room with two single beds was very small and the beds were not the greatest. Beds could have been better.

Staff was exceptional. Rooms beautiful, clean and food delicious.

The staff was so mixed. Front desk-Fantastic! Dining/breakfast-Rather rude and made us feel uncomfortable every time and the afternoon tea was tragically disappointing... Plenty of food, but not presented as anything more than lunch at Grandma's house with dirty cups, mismatched dishes and food stuffed to overhanging off the plates. No one even asked if we wanted the prosecco.

The Stonefield Castle hotel has a peaceful, charming & relaxing feel. We have stayed many times. It's set in a beautiful location with fabulous views to loch Fyne & surrounded by mature gardens with lots of period charm. The staff are friendly, welcoming & attentive. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated to mirror the hotel's family history & era. The breakfast is excellent made with top local quality produce. The bar is well stocked with a great choice for all tastes especially whiskies. There are bars & restaurants in the town only a short drive away wirh an efficient local taxi service. The town has a warm friendly feel with lots to explore. Love the drive to Tarbert and our stay at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

great staff exceptional views from our room and on the grounds great room great bed. I will stay there again any time we are in Scotland
