didn't dine in, bed is high, not good for elderly

The hotel was fairly clean, but I wouldn’t say very clean. The front desk clerk was not friendly or welcoming from the get-go. The area around the hotel isnt the best - you dont want to walk too far at night. The pet area attached to the hotel was closed due to a cut in the fence - although they wouldn't tell us why it was closed when we first asked, only that we couldn't use it. The pet friendly room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The deadbolt for the room didn’t work/lock. The front counter clerk at first would not offer us another room in the hotel - he expected us to stay with an elderly person in a room that didn't properly lock on a floor that is also unlocked. He spent almost 15 minites trying to force the lock despite us telling him that 3 of us had tried it and it didnt work. It wasnt until the 3 request (tbh at this point it was a demand) to be put in another room. I had paid extra for the room - an extra bed - that was not in the 'replacement' room. The clerk said that he could not authorize a partial refund despite the final room not having the extra bed. A different clerk the next morning said that the previous clerk could have authorized the refund the prior night. I would not recommend.

The only hotel in Kamloops that offers Airport shuttle service (7 min trip, just book with front desk. Meals at the White Spot 😋 inside the Holiday Inn were very fresh and very tasty. All staff from front desk, to security, to house keeping to dining room staff were friendly, helpful & highly skilled.The hotel has been beautifully renovated recently.

Property was really good Clear and convenient for everything but there was too much drug addicted people in that area you can see in every corner unsafe to go outside night time

Having stayed for two days we found the hotel nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast was a voucher for CAD 25, which was a bit weird as the voucher could not be used for beverages. So we had to pay for morning coffee if we wanted that for breakfast

The management team greeted us with such warmth! We are always satisfied with staying at Holiday Inn.

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at this property, have my 2 cents as below: 1) the lady at front desk when we cheyin was very rude, she tried to sell us another category of room as well citing that Expedia sold us a room they don't have, later we got what we booked. 2) The pool is UNSAFE: Both the main pool and the hot water have very sharp edges which can cause serious injury to the users even before they can realize the problem. I suggest immediate closure of pools and getting them fixed. I will write to report this to the BC licensing authorities.

The property was fine but still under renovations. The elevator was out of order on our check out. The room was clean and quiet.

The staff were really nice, lots of good food options within walking distance. Good location, mall across the street, nice view. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a great experience at this hotel during our road trip to the Rockies. The front desk staff were especially helpful—offering great suggestions for local sights and nearby restaurants. It was a comfortable and convenient stopover, and we really appreciated the warm welcome and local tips!
