Great room,breakfast,and location. Room temperature controls were difficult. I stayed 3 nights and no cleaners came into the room, maybe I should have requested. I would definitely stay there again.

Great location hotel with reasonable prices and rooms with AC.

My experience of B&B Hotel Birmingham Centre was the staff were friendly and helpful with the few interactions I had with them. Check in was a swift process without any hitches. Our room was spotlessly clean and the majority of items were in full working order - air extractor in the bathroom didn't work so it took a while for steam to dissipate and the ability to cast to TV would've been nice. Breakfast area had plenty of seating and there was a very good variety of items to choose from. I liked the bins in rooms had separate sections for recyclable and non-recyclable items. On the whole my visit to this hotel was good to very good, just wasn't too keen on the area where the hotel is located but that is out of their control and they try to keep the exterior of the hotel as presentable as possible.

The hotel was overall excellent — great location just 10 minutes from the centre, very clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. All of this at a very good price. It would have been a 5‑star stay, except for the check‑in experience. The lady at reception was extremely rude; my interaction with her was brief, but she was making several guests visibly uncomfortable.

I could not fault this hotel. The rooms have recently been updated and were clean and nicely furnished. The location is just 10 minutes walk from New Strret station. The immediate area is quite scruffy and there is some regeneration works but we encountered no problems and it was great to be so central. All the staff were very helpful and check-in and out were very easy. Our great rate included breakfast which was actually very good with a full selection of hot food and breads, pastries, cereals, fruit and cheese in a very nice dining area. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Birmingham.

last time I stayed here over a year ago there was only 1 lift working & same again this weekend! not good. toilet seat was really wobbly. bathroom small. if staying again I would ask for a room not facing the garage as the jet was woke us up at 8.20 Sunday morning! don't know why they have a man on the main door after seeing you gain access with your rook key he asked room number (doesn't even introduce himself) then asks your name & because he has wrong info on his bit of paper tries to refuse you access through the 2nd door! this was just before midnight to 2 women sober in their 60's. made us go to reception who confirmed we were guests & had given him the correct info. air con was very loud & not that effective.

We weren't sure what to expect from this hotel as the price was significantly less than others in the same category. We were pleasantly surprised to find an excellent hotel with everything we needed for our stay. Yes, there were a few rough edges - aircon was noisy, toulet seat was slightly loose, but overall fantastic value for money. Location couldn't be better - city centre and stations all within easy walking distance. Breakfast was really good with a wide selection from cooked to continental to cater for every taste. Absolutely would stay here again if we ever need to stay in Birmingham.

Aufenthalt mit Höhen und Tiefen: beim Check-In erst mal keine Probleme, aber dann im Zimmer: 30 Grad bei Südwestlage des Fensters und keine funktionierende Klimaanlage. Beanstandung an der Rezeption, dass dies kein akzeptabler Zustand sei, daraufhin brachte die Rezeptionistin erst einen kleinen tragbaren Ventilator, das hilft bei 30 Grad auch nicht mehr. Auf die Anfrage, ob es nicht andere Zimmer gäbe, wurde dies erst mal verneint (sorry Leute, schlechter Stil im Umgang mit Gästen. Vor allem, wenn man online noch Zimmer buchen konnte, kann es auch nicht ausgebucht sein). Letztendlich hat dann die Kollegin vom Schalter nebenan übernommen und mir weitere Zimmer gezeigt, wobei die ersten beiden ebenfalls Südwestlage hatten und 30 Grad ohne funktionierende Klima, das dritte Zimmer hatte dann bei Nordostlage "nur" 24 Grad, wobei auch hier die Klima nicht wirklich gekühlt hat... in der Lobby und im Frühstückrestaurant war es aber kühl. Da sich das Procedere nun fast eine Stunde gezogen hat (nur 1 Person an der Rezeption), habe ich das Zimmer nun genommen, weil ich auch keine Lust mehr hatte, ein anderes Hotel zu suchen. Leider hat das ganze einen negativen Eindruck hinterlassen, den auch das ansonsten saubere Zimmer und das gute Frühstück nicht mehr ausgleichen konnten. Schade, ansonsten hätte es ein schöner Aufenthalt sein können.

Stayed for a night for a concert in the O2 academy. Good location, breakfast was a good addition in the morning. Staff were helpful and the lounge area was great too.
