Nice hotel and room, however the hotel seems to be on top of (or next to) a club which was playing loud music until 1am.

Great location great staff Thought the breakfast was overpriced £18 per person

This property is only a street behind prince’s street excellent location would defo use again only downside was the shower 😞 the water gushed out as there was no seal around the door

This hotel was perfectly located, safe, impeccable. The staff was amazing! Saved me when my dress for the event was damaged and couldn't be ironed; they arranged for a specialist to take care of it. Putting my gown into a taxi and arranging everything, my dress was redelivered to the hotel in beautiful condition! Thank you everyone again at Le Monde for an incredible stay.

Lovely hotel in the heart of Edinburgh. Perfect location on George Street. Very friendly staff. Our room had special charm. I think each room is individually decorated.

It’s not so good

The hotel itself was great. A small hotel in a great location. There is a club/bar underneath the hotel and since the hotel is so small, it was hard to sleep during the weekend. Not the hotel’s fault, but be aware.

Unique themed rooms, updated bathrooms, super helpful staff.

The light switches were very difficult to figure out how to use. We had to ask for help from the front desk and even then it was difficult. I also wish that even though we didn’t have the most expensive room, we didn’t have to look over a rooftop directly into other buildings.

This small hotel is an ideal location just off Saint Andrews Square and near several five-star restaurants. I have two nits to pick and one huge downside to mention. First, there was seldom anyone at the front desk, which meant if you wanted help you needed to go into the restaurant/bar. Second, the grab bar in the bathroom was on the wrong side of the tub, which meant you had to reach across the tub, almost falling in to grab the grab bar. Finally, on my third night there they had a private event with a live band. I returned to my room about 915 and the room was VIBRATING (not hyperbole). At 9:42 I walked down to the bar to inquire about the live band and was told they would stop at 9:30. I pointed out that it was 942 and she did see to it that the band stopped. But then there was a DJ. And the crowd was having a great time clapping and stomping their feet. I do not begrudge people having a good time I myself like to have a grand time, but the noise was intolerable. For that reason, I do not recommend this hotel overall.

Every room has its own individual styling - the Cairo room I was in had a lovely seating area, a desk to work on, a big comfy bed, and an enormous bath. The drinks and beakfast was great, and the location is perfect for exploring.

A lovely hotel. We had dinner there but the nightclub is the dinning room. Not a good place to be if you want a nice quiet place to have dinner. The crowd is young and music is blasting.

Awesome location and the room was so beautifully decorated!

The noise from the street below prevented us from getting any sleep whatsoever. I assume this is due to the nightclub below the hotel and its patrons loitering outside until the hours of the early morning .

We had a short stay at Le Monde but it was a good one! Staff were accommodating and looked after our cases, the room was lovely and it was close to everything we were hoping to do while we were in Edinburgh

Staff unhelpfulwith even simple request.

Great for an overnight stay in Edinburgh at the weekend. Brilliant location and the room was really nicely done. The only issue to note was noise, although you couldn’t hear the bar music from the room on the third floor, you could hear other bars and people on the street outside well into the morning. Not an issue unless you’re a light sleeper

It was nice staying in the fish room

I had a fishtank in my room!!! Very relaxing. Hotel of choice in Edinburgh

Beautiful hotel and very welcoming staff. We booked the Atlantis room which was stunning and the fish tank was amazing. Bar area was great also.
