Very good welcoming! The rooms were cleans and spacious. The hot tub and sport room were good!

Hotel "atypique" de l'extérieur mais une fois dedans, les espaces de vie sont tres beau et chaleureux ! Excellente literie et confort dans la chambre. Supebe vue sur la prairie avec des moutons qui sont venue le matin. Le petit-déjeuner vraiment parfait et complet ! Un petit espace "bain chaud" extérieur agréable malgré qu'il soit placé à la vue de tous en plein milieux de l'établissement. Prix élevé mais tout est élevé en islande et hotel isolé de tout au milieu de nulle part.

Loved the breakfast and additional add on dinner options. Hot tub and sauna were super nice. I just would have loved a mini fridge in the room, our room also had some wear and tear on the walls. Overall great experience and great staff.

Comfortable beds. Blackout curtains. Very clean. Nice hot tub. Excellent breakfast buffet.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was very warm one of the nights we were there due to warm weather and window not able to be open wide. Staff was accommodating with providing a fan. Beautiful grounds and views

The rooms are clean with an excellent view- the bathroom floor is soaked with every shower- but dried very quickly. No ledge to put anything on in the bathroom. Breakfast is outstanding!

Some distance to Vik. Not sure why they asked for passport information. We did not experience this with other hotels. Very good breakfast. The room and the bathroom were small. The room was clean.

Absolutely amazing, stunning hotel. Amazing rooms, amazing staff. Breakfast and the restaurant were beyond amazing. Access to hot pool, sauna, and gym were incredible. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Good breakfast, the room was confortable

Really well renovated hotel. The included breakfast was amazing and fresh. Lots of parking available on site. Hot tub on site was nice as well.

The front desk clerks were both quite rude. We didn't like the separation of hotel rooms in different buildings.

L'Hôtel est très bien situé, a proximité de Vik. Nous avons eu une chambre avec vue imprenable, spacieuse, confortable et bien équipée. Avec en prime un excellent petit déjeuner. Grands parkings devant les bâtiments.

Sat in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Vik the hotel was a perfect base for a couple of days of exploring. Our rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast and dinner were of a very high standard. The bonus of access to the hot tub and sauna topped off our visit. We would highly recommend.

Hotel is made up of several stand alone buildings. The one we stayed at was older but rooms were fine - no issues

The Katla hotel was superb - neat, clean, courteous, professional waitstaff and front desk. Hallway lights were on a timer to conserve energy and there were recycle bins available. The food was incredible, including the decadent dinner buffet. They honestly left nothing to be desired. On our second morning, after a wonderful breakfast (included in your stay), our room key did not work. The front desk reset our keys (did not work), then gave us new keys (did not work), and finally called maintenance since it was assumed the issue was with the door lock and not the keys. Maintenance was able to get in with his own master key, but paused before letting us in, remarking that he wanted to make sure this was indeed our room. I was surprised, since the idea of crime in Iceland was completely non-existent, but comforted that they took our safety seriously. We were able to show him our passports once in the room to reassure him. That's quality service.

Walls were very thin, could hear people talking & snoring in next room. Beds not real comfortable as well as the pillow & duvet cover. Very rough material & single pillow flat & thin. Breakfast buffet was nice. A pretty location, but would probably not chose again due to having a mostly sleepless night.
