Our stay at the Durant Arms recently was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and tidy and the breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. I would recommend this hostelry to anyone.

The hosts Alan and Leslie were very welcoming as were all the staff especially Dan. We had a lovely couple of days exploring South Devon and the evenings were spent back at the Durant Arms. we were made to feel very welcome not only by the staff but all of the locals we met. The food is very good with a wide choice and chef also offers some very nice curries. Breakfast was also great with plenty of choice quality options. It is very rural and quiet and offered some lovely walks with different options to eat out within walking distance if you needed them. (we didn't) The food at this place was lovely. We don't tend to visit the same place twice but we would make an exception here. Thank you Team Durant Arms!

Excellent food and B&B.

We had a lovely couple of days away at the Durant Arms.everything was mainly positive, and it is a quaint old pub in a lovely quiet village. However, for us the bed was extremely firm, which is a personal choice which we are not used to. We enjoyed the food, except for the crust of the pie I had on the first night was rock haed.

Newly refurbished rooms above a great pub. Room very comfortable, staff very friendly and great food and beer. Highly recommended.

We were pleasantly surprised that despite a lot going on in the pub below, we couldn't hear a thing in the bedroom. Lovely old building but modernised inside to a high level of comfort. They do need more shelves in the bathroom though - not happy to have to put my toiletries on the floor.

One of the nicest pubs I have ever stayed in

Really nice room, recently refurbished. Everything was nice, particularly appreciated the controllable radiator having come from a place that was cold. Could've done with an extra pillow, only 1 provided each. The pub was really top class in a pretty village centre and was a CAMRA winner with great range of ales and warm comforting food and log burners.

Fantastic place, staff very friendly, everything spotless and decorated to an excellent standard. Good selection well kept ale and wine, food was outstanding. Set in a quiet peaceful village with virtually no traffic, can’t recommend enough!

A really lovely comfortable room with a nice view of the little village of Ashprington. Great pub attached with a fabulous menu and delicious food. Couldnt fault our stay and would definitely stay again.

Lovely village pub setting. Our room was both clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed dinner and breakfast during our stay. A very pleasant night away, definitely recommended.
