Excellent stay at the hotel everything was just great

Great stay as usual, rooms well appointed, staff are very friendly & nothing is too much trouble

Fabulous property just let down a little by lower quality fittings that need some maintenance, than it deserves. (Never managed to use the pool/spa as it was either unmanned with no towels etc available or was out of use. Bathroom fittings slightly damaged and wardrobes that need adjusting so that the doors close.)

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. For London the rooms are quite spacious. We stay here every year in May and have not been let down yet. Roof Top bar is a nice touch but the cocktails were inconsistent.

Hotel and staff were excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Approx 15mins fr liverpool St station. We had room 613, very spacious and the view over London and the rooftop bar was fantastic Definitely will return here

An absolutely top class hotel experience in a beautiful building steeped in history, with lots of original features lovingly preserved. The old jail cells in the bar and art deco stained glass ceiling in the lobby were the best examples of this.

All the members of staff are very friendly and helpful. Great room and very nice bathroom. Little shame about the bar area, sofas too low to sit in and the room on the right to the bar is very uninviting and steril.

Great location, decent hotel. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Business stay

The room looked clean and the bed was comfortable. Got the sense there was a lack of attention maintaining the rooms and equipment. The shower head was covered in limescale and leaking out of one side, the adjustable shower head was also broken and kept falling down. We requested an ironing board which arrived very quickly however was falling apart and unsteady, very dangerous with a hot iron, nowhere to plug in kettle other than on the floor again a bit unsafe. Nice property but definitely not worth 180 a night. Small details need attention.

Excellent hotel, great location and the facilities weee great.

Staff was very friendly and generally it is a nice place. Hotel rooms are starting to show their age with minor dings in the furniture and worn items. The biggest issue was my room not ready at check in time. I had to wait in the lounge 2 hours past posted check in time which was a major inconvenience. Hotel did provide free drinks during wait and room upgrade but delay was a major issue because we had evening plans.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gemacht mit wunderschöner Lobby und Innenausstattung Allgemein. Das Früstücksbuffet war für uns sehr Enttäuschend. Für den hohen Preis von 112 Pfund für 4 Personen hatte ich mehr erwartet. Es gab kein frisches Brot, nur Toast oder kleine süsse Gebäcke. Die Auswahl im allgemeinen war sehr klein, ein Joghurt das wir genommen hatten war seit über einer Woche abgelaufen! Wenn man nachschub holen wollte von Butter oder kalter Milch z.B. war es immer leer, so dass man immer beim Personal nachfragen musste ob sie dies wohl auffüllen könnten. Nicht so toll für diesen stolzen Preis. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und hatten 2 Doppelzimmer gebucht. Am zweiten Tag hatten wir dann nur noch ein grosses Tuch im Badezimmer. Das Duschmittel wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt… Klar, man kann an der Reception nachfragen um dies zu bekommen. Aber ganz ehrlich, auf diesem Preisniveau sollte das nicht passieren. Fazit: mehr Schein als sein

Room was hotter than the sun on arrival due to heated towel rail being stuck on full blast and controls not working. Shower sprayed more water directly upwards and across the bathroom than downwards, and toilet wouldn’t flush. A wonderful building, with clean rooms but clearly a lack of maintenance.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Staff went above and beyond. Really good location for central London in a nice area with plenty to see and do. The only negative was the pool/ spa wasn’t open on Monday. I’m not sure if we just fell unlucky this Monday or whether it’s closed every Monday. Either way, it was an inconvenience to us as my husband who had ran London marathon wanted to make use of the facilities the day after the race. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food. Drinks were lovely. Good time had by all and would definitely stay here again

This was a Birthday Easter Weekend break and we were not disappointed. The hotel is a converted court house with a beautiful decor inside and oozing character. The staff were incredibly helpful, and I mean incredibly helpful and knowledgeable too, a special thanks to Riya (Reception), and Mihail (Concierge) for just being so attentive. The Courthouse has a great roof garden area and pool, as well as a relaxing bar and lovely breakfast area. The rooms are spacious with great facilities. I can't recommend this hotel enough, and you'll definitely want to come back again, as we will. Enjoy.

I had an excellent experience during my stay. The staff were genuinely wonderful — warm, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the whole visit feel effortless. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, offering everything I needed to relax. The amenities were great too, from the convenient on-site facilities to the thoughtful little touches throughout the hotel. The location couldn’t have been better — close to everything I needed and easy to get around. Overall, a fantastic stay. I’ll definitely be returning

The room was lovely but the staff were exceptional. Very impressed.
