Exceed our expectations! Beautiful partial ocean view from our room. Fresh baked cookies daily at lobby. Hottub was an added bonus after a hard days fishing in the ocean. Restaurant was delicious!

Absolutely would stay here again.

Our room was exceptional, top floor, patio doors off living room and bedroom. Full kitchen, separate shower and large oval tub. This room was a holiday in itself, but off our balcony was the black rock and the turquoise ocean beckoning, hiding trails from either direction. Pricey but completely worth it. We plan to do this again. Uclulet had anything you’d want, and electric bikes rented from Ukee bikes would send you pedalling to and from tofino on the newly finished paved trail between the ocean and the highway. Truly Canada’s gem.

This is a beautiful hotel. Nestled into the black rocks giving a breathtaking view from the lobby, some rooms and the pool! Deep soaking tub in the room and large shower. Not far from the main strip, we walked most places and enjoyed the trails near the hotel

This high-end resort hotel locates right besides the sea with the beach accesses. But don't expect the sand beach outside your balcony. The first floor rooms have no ocean views only forest views. The balcony door is hard to open or close/lock; after I opened the balcony door, I tried to close and lock the door and I was not sure whether the door was really locked and could not be opened from outside. The sun blocking curtain has large gaps with the window glass and between the two curtains. The sun directly shined into my eyes in the early morning and woke me up early without my having good sleep. Except for the couch, there is no sitting chair inside my first floor room for the high decorating table. The room is big but the sink and the coffee counter area is small and tight. In spite of the afore inconvenience, the bath room is big and high end and the first floor room ceiling is high.

This was our first time staying here and will definitely be back. The rooms were clean and very quiet. The views were stunning from the resort and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The only drawbacks would be that the pull out sofa really isn’t that comfortable, and wouldn’t recommend for anyone other than a child to sleep on. The restaurant was also just okay. The staff were friendly, but the food wasn’t great. Perhaps just chose the wrong dish. All in all though I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

What a beautiful resort! No complaints. Room was bigger than I thought. Price was cheaper than I thought. Resort exceeded all expectations!!

Rooms were neat and clean.

The Black Rock is in a very unique and beautiful location, albeit several years old and beginning to age a bit. Unlike other properties we’ve stayed in, amenities like garbage bags and hot water are distributed sparingly in an effort to appear more eco conscious. However, at $500+/night, I feel there are other more guest-friendly alternatives that will likely lure us away from returning.

Perfect location. Beautiful views. Hike straight from the hotel on Wild Pacific Trail. Restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. Liked Ucluelet better than Tofino for sure.

Our family of four stayed for four nights. The hotel is amazing and in the perfect location. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back.

We just had the most wonderful stay here this past week. The room was absolutely gorgeous!! Totally not what we were expecting and it surpassed every expectation and we did not want to leave. Every staff member we interacted with was super friendly, helpful and wonderful. Our family has had a busy year and this was the perfect place to be able to unwind and relax and take all the beauty in especially at this resort. The room was extremely clean and spacious. It had everything we would need. Restaurant was great and had delicious food. Loved being able to walk around the property and be able to walk to nearby beaches. Enjoyed having raincoats provided in the room as the day we arrived it was very wet! Nice addition to have and to be able to use when needed. This was the perfect stay and we can not wait to be able to come back and stay here again. This resort will leave a long lasting memory to each one of the members of my family, including myself. Thank you so much!

Staff were very friendly upon check in and check out. They were super helpful when assisting is to print our fishing liscence, as we forgot before heading out on the water. Fantastic hosts, beautiful accommodations.

The location is phenomenal. We had a beautiful view of the ocean.

We loved our first visit to Ucluelet! The hotel truly felt like a resort, the room was bigger than we expected, and staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. The adult only lounge was a relaxing place to have a drink, watch the waves, and listen to some music.
