Basic, clean, central and friendly

Our room was on the top floor so there were many flights of stairs, we got our exercise in! Theroom was a nice space, only thing disappointing were the beds. Sorry to say that the mattresses were uncomfortable. But for one night with an early to rise morning, it got the job done.

Room fine but bathroom needs an update. TV un watchable but that maybe the signal

The property is in very bad condition, very old without proper updates and mantainance. Bed not comfortable.it needs renewal to be an acceptable property for Expedia standards

I'll cut to the chase with this one. If you're expecting all the frills, you won't get them. HOWEVER... Its an absolute bargain and certainly ideal for a short break. The hotel itself may be in need of some work (and it looks like some of that work has started), but ultimately, its clean, comfortable, ideally located given its very close proximity to the railway station etc, and even the noise issues that people had raised in other reviews wasnt an issue. You might get a bit of background noise but its not offputting and what do you expect? Its in the town centre next to a railway station and a ferry port. I still managed a good nights sleep. Check in was also very straightforward and easy too. Definitely recommended for anyone who needs a place to get a good nights kip for the next days adventures. 👍

Good budget accommodation. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms tidy but definitely require some TLC. Pub down stairs so can get quite noisy on a busy night.

Location was convenient for the ferry. But the bed was very saggy and uncomfortable and there was a lot of noise throughout the night (shouting, arguing).

Only staff contact was at bar when booking in. No dining facilities. Shower would not hold in place. Electric switch outside of shower situated under the water pipe. Absolutely noisy. Guests smoking at fire escape door. Rolls of underlay blocking hallway. I had to leave a night early due to noise from Bar Area. Won't be going back.

Although there was no smoking signs everywhere. The room stank of smoking. Although it was very quite and booked because it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

Det bästa med boendet var priset och läget. Rummet var rent, men spartanskt. De klassiska britiska gliporna mellan dörr och dörrkarm, och det gick inte att låsa dörren till badrummet på just vårt rum i varje fall. Var en lite udda, men harmlös, upplevelse att behöva gå in i baren på bottenvåningen för att checka in och där mötas av nyfikna blickar från kunderna medan vi fick hjälp med det. Fanns dock en separat entré till trappan upp till rummen på de övre våningarna som vi fick nyckel till, så vi behövde inte använda den entrén igen. Tänk dock på att fråga efter hur du checkar ut och lösenordet till wifi då i varje fall vi inte fick den informationen per automatik. Men för den enstaka natten vi var på plats var det ett fullt dugligt och mycket prisvärt boende. Ska du vara på plats mer än någon eller några enstaka nätter och inte har allt för ont om pengar skulle jag nog rekommendera ett regelrätt hotell. Men med ett stenkast från tågstation och bara ett till till affärer och restauranger, men ändå på en mindre och lugn gata, var det ett mycket bra boende för oss som inte tänk spendera särskilt mycket tid på rummet.

Good value and as advertised. Good sized mugs for tea in the room

Great location but was noisy in morning near ferry and traffic. The hotel is Victorian and has some charm but is bare bones. Beds were not comfortable

New name on the outside - “The Clary”. Stayed here for one night. Very affordable price and you get what you pay for. Check in was easy and smooth, just speak with the bar tender. Very happening bar/lounge and “Home of Claroke”. Separate entrance for hotel guests after checking in.

Centrico, lo estan reformando. Una muy buena opcion relación calidad precio.

I enjoyed my stay, and have booked another 3 nights.

Central location for public transportation. Room got all I need for the night.
