Lovely hotel, great central location and staff very friendly and helpful.

Very convenient for the city centre being only a few minutes walk from Princes Street, the tram route and bus routes. Room was spotless. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't eat breakfast there as I had a very early start each morning.

Comfortable, discreet, quiet and welcoming. Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. Romm was spacious we had a very enjoyable overnight stay

Quaint boutique Hotel, great location and friendly staff

Hotel in posizione centrale, nella New Town, ottimo per visitare la città muovendosi a piedi e molto comodo anche per arrivare dall'aeroporto. Come già letto in altre recensioni, trattandosi di un edificio antico posto su un terreno scosceso, per accedere alle camere ci sono 2 distinti ascensori su 2 livelli diversi raggiungibili, almeno nel nostro caso, con una rampa di scale. La nostra camera standard, mansardata, era molto bella, molto spaziosa e pulita, cosi come il bagno, solo un po' buia. Ottimo il servizio, con personale gentile e collaborativo. Molto valida anche la colazione che noi avevamo scelto di comprendere nella tariffa.

We were in the attic room on the 9th floor. The room was massive and the big bed comfortable. We had 3 windows each with upholstered double bench seats in front of them. The bathroom was big also but a little dark. The AC worked as it should and warmed or cooled the room very quickly. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice and cooked to orders, with a continental side. Mac at breakfast was really helpful and extremely polite. We asked for our half board evening meal to be sent to our room. They did this without quibble and didn’t charge anything extra. Because we decided not to have our room made up (2 nights) were given 2 vouchers for drinks up to £7.50 each. We were also given a voucher for 2 free glasses of Prosecco during our stay. The hotel is very well located with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. It is also a 5 minute walk from the St James’s shopping centre. The Tram station is across the square which is a direct link to the airport. We booked just the night before so it was a little expensive, but won’t be, I’d imagine, for any advance booking.

Great room, good location

the AC kept the room cool but the controls were not user friendly, it was difficult to change the fan speed (I did not succeed :-( Anna at the front desk was most helpful and gracious. A real asset to your team.

The location in Edinburgh is excellent. The hotel is close to stations, theatre and St. James Quarter for shopping. Directly on the other side of the Square are various restaurants. We paid for an upgrade to a Club Room and were fortunate to be given a Suite. We had a nice bathroom with shower and a slipper bath in the main bedroom. Bed was very comfortable and despite being at the front of the hotel we slept well with no noise. Staff were friendly and nice. Room was ok cleanliness wise but housekeeping replenishment of some supplies was poor. Other minor maintenance issues and very poorly performing hairdryer but otherwise was a really good stay.
