The room was lovely but walk from the Globe. No taxis which is odd with so many people wanting one, pre book if you need one! Would stay again. Staff amazing and very helpful

This lovely hotel in is one of the prettiest squares in Wells. We had an outdoor room up a fire escape because we had a dog. The rooms in the pub seemed better. The Restaurant was very small, but the food was good.

Dog friendly throughout the hotel. Staff and food excellent and my wife and I will be returning.

Check-in nice and easy. Bed and pillows super comfy. It was like lying on a cloud and being swallowed up! Great selection for food. We had lunch and went with the fish n' chips. Light batter and non greasy and tasted delicious! Great portions! Also had breakfast and again good selection. Service was excellent! Lovely location off the green and a 2min walk to the sea front with lovely shops in between! Stayed here before and would recommended to anyone to stay here!

We stayed here recently and, whilst the room was clean and nicely decorated, the overall experience was hugely overpriced — at least £100 too much for what we received. We paid £240 for the night, which is frankly excessive given the shortcomings. Shortly after booking, we received an email informing us there would be no parking available due to the Wells Festival. This was frustrating, as we would have factored parking into our decision had we known beforehand. The bathroom was a particular let-down. It had a shower over a bath that had clearly seen better days, a badly rusted radiator, battered old soap and shampoo bottles, and no loo roll holder or hand towel rail. To make matters worse, the bathroom window looked directly onto the roof terrace — and wasn’t frosted — much to my husband’s surprise when he walked in half dressed. In the bedroom, there was no fridge — which feels like an odd omission for a room at this price point. The noise level was also high, which made for a restless night. Breakfast was another disappointment. The black pudding was inedible, and serving streaky bacon on a British breakfast plate seemed an odd choice. The dining process was disorganised — we ended up in a bit of a disagreement with staff over “allocated” tables, which could easily be avoided by simply using table numbers. Perhaps the price was inflated due to the festival, but even so, the value for money simply wasn’t there. Overall, we left feeling that our stay was worth the money

All staff were very approachable & friendly. We did have problems with the tv - finding any channels & the coffee machine. Option to have ordinary Nescafé would have been welcome. Carpet on landing outside room 1 badly marked

Great breakfast on offer. Staff were lovely and the area was so peaceful, you wouldn't expect to be so close to the sea!

Rooms serviced by 1 fan. Too hot on a sunny day. Long wait for food in the evening. That said very dog friendly. Superb dog beds and dog treats.

Lovely pet double room. Could do with a good dust as ornaments very dusty. My dog dripped water from her bowl on the bathroom floor- I soaked it up with the bath mat and was astonished at how dirty the floor actually was. Very disappointing.

I stayed at Arch House - a short walk along the road from The Globe itself. I enjoyed the quiet away from the hubbub of the pub and the refreshing walk to breakfast ... but that might not suit everyone.

Small room but comfortable. Bed was big and very comfy. Bathroom clean & well equipped. Breakfast was lovely.

Easy check in, we stayed in the Arch rooms which were clean, comfortable and had a lovely courtyard which would have been great to sit in had the weather been good. Very welcoming in the pub by the Barman and great pub food
