This is a must place to stay. It’s so beautiful, very well looked after . A very relaxing place to stay. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was so spacious, clean and the decor was on point! Will definitely be staying here next time we visit York.

Beautiful location, superb accommodation, good food. We couldn't fault it. This place is totally focused on making sure each guest is comfortable and well looked after. They delivered on every aspect of our stay. Great British hospitality at its absolute best.

Lovely stay at this hotel - nice room and good food. Unable to give it five stars as there were only two electric chargers and they were both in use overnight so we were unable to charge our car - thankfully it is a hybrid. Would suggest with the increasing number of electric cars that more chargers are required.

Room was a little underwhelming for the price - clean enough but very small. Staff though were excellent - friendly and professional. Breakfast was also pretty good though some items had been left under the heat for a while as they were a bit chewy! Overall, not a bad visit but maybe doesn't justify the price compared to other £200+ stays I've had in and around York.

The room was clean and the hotel has a good location somewhere in the nothing. The bar was nice. The breakfast was good but nothing special. Typical english breakfast.

We only had a short stay there but the hotel and rooms are spotless, staff friendly and helpful, excellent food and well stocked bar. Ample parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to go back again. Thanks guys and gals 👍

It was a last minute stay I am so glad I chose this hotel instead of a more central to York. Best hotel I’ve stayed In absolutely stunning definitely luxurious the bath was what drew me in. I had the most amazing night

We have stayed at least 3 times. Sandburn Hall keeps consistently high customer service and housekeeping standards. The quality of food in Tykes restaurant was also good.

Two night stay. Chose this hotel for its location as its very close to the A64. Great base for exploring North Yorkshire. York about 10/15 mins away by car. The restaurant for breakfast is very relaxed and staff are lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing stay

From driving up to the reception and departure the stay was outstanding. Two nights in the Alderney suite and we can’t wait to return. A newly built property only 6 years old it is pristine throughout, the decor is stunning, all furnishings and fixtures of the highest quality and it shows! As a retired hotelier I suppose I appreciate the attention to detail and the comfort of the mattress and pillows was perfect. The grounds and surrounding areas are magnificent. The staff are exceptional, well trained, efficient and helpful. Our new favourite place when visiting our favourite York City. Glowing review, yes! It’s well deserved x

This is a beautiful hotel in all aspects! The breakfast was the nicest hotel I have had in a long while and I travel alot!! Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!

Hotel was modern and very clean throughout. The staff were friendly and very helpful in both the hotel and Tykes restaurant. Situated in a rural area, we found the hotel setting quiet and we would definitely stay again.
