Firstly, all the staff were really friendly and very helpful, cannot fault them! However, the room was very warm, possibly i think due to it being above the kitchen? Opening the window obviously then meant we could hear traffic, not the end of the world, we knew it was on the side of the road, but what we weren't prepared for, especially on a Sunday evening, was listening to everyone in Weatherspoons across the road til gone midnight! We gave in and shut the windows but made for a very warm night. The water pressure in the shower was very low, and the lid on the kettle wouldn't stay shut. That said, the room was clean, comfy and simply decorated. Would we stay again? Possibly, but would definitely request a bedroom at thd rear of the building and not roadside.

Last minute booking for a overnight stay in Newquay

Stayed after a night out. Newquay is busy and noisy. We were expecting that so not a problem for us, but if you’re looking for a quiet get away this is not the place for you.

Stayed here for 2 nights along with our 2 dogs. For the price we weren't expecting much, but we were pleasently surprised. Quick check-in staff very friendly, room was a bit dated, but was well looked after, clean and tidy. The bathroom was in good condition and spotlessly clean. Free parking on site is a bonus. Only slight moan is the add on costs for dogs, £8 per dog per night. Now I totally get a cleaning charge as dogs can and do create a bit more mess than 2 adults, however a one of charge seems a fairer option than a per night per dog charge. Staying any longer than a few nights abd it soon adds up.

The menu has plenty of variety and the food is delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the bar and dining room are pleasant settings to sit in.

The bed was not great, mattress properly needs changing. The carpets were full of hair, clearly hasn’t been vacuumed or vacuumed well for weeks as many different colour hairs all over the floor was quite gross.

Room had paper walls coukd here next door chatting loudly tv had a line down the middle which was off putting some had left a black iorn mark on the carpet floor ? No iorn in the room but over all not to bad room 10

Stayed 5 nights. There is a hole in the ceiling above the shower around the light that doesnt work and it isnt pleasant. The staff were lovely, breakfast was nice and a great location. The ladies on service in the mornings were so nice! Overall a good place to stay.

Have stayed here many times. Great hotel, service, comfort and very dog friendly. The dogs were made very welcome with treats and lots of fuss. Virtually next to the beach. Eateries and pubs just minutes away. Highly recommended. Helios

We went for two days to Cornwall from London. This beautiful and clean hotel offered food and comfortable lodgings. I would certainly recommend it. The location is stunning.

All staff amazing very friendly and just can’t do enough for you , free parking on site , clean rooms , very quiet , great location definitely will go back .

A good central location. The room was a good size and the bathroom was modern. The shower had no pressure and the beds were very uncomfortable.
