The staff at Bannisters always go above & beyond whenever we stay. Most recently a friend and I booked accommodation for our wives to stay for an early Mothers day present. I informed admin staff via email and a wonderful lady at reception by the name of Jessica upgraded rooms for our wives & also left them a complementary bag of chocolates made by a local confectionery business. Lovely property within walking distance to the beach. Room was very clean, easy parking on property, roof top restaurant was very pretty, offering a nice menu. We booked, as recommended. Definitely recommend.

Fabulous spot, modern and clean hotel. Delicious rooftop bar and breakfasts! Staff all very friendly and welcoming!

We had a lovely stay at Bannisters. Some of the details are slightly lacking and feeling a little dated but it's a wonderful location and the staff, rooftop and ambience are great.

Don't stay here it was disgusting. The most overpriced worn down and poorly looked after hotel i have every stayed. They allow pets and the carpet is stained with pet pee. The elevator and air con blowing into the rooms absolutely stinks of smoke. The restaurant is sub-par for the price. There is this weird cafe out the front of reception with staff attending to the cafe wearing bizarre tennis skirts each day (haha) and a games/checkers room like we are still living in the 1800s. Avoid this place like the plague.

Good short stay but felt impersonal and no real Welcome. Catpets were dirty sadly.

For starters the photos looked like a proper resort with amenities but the place has a small rooftop pool and one casual dining area with limited choice of food, customer service was poor and the buffet breakfast was disappointingly poor standard besides choices of hot meals have be paid for and guests can only get one cup of tea or coffee. Very disappointing.

We loved the room and its courtyard area was great. The bed was fantastic. The rooftop bar and grill was amazing. We will be back!

The room was clean and adequate, but nothing special for he price. The hotel puts a lot of effort into its Rooftop restaurant and again the food was good, but overpriced. The majority of staff are fabulous, especially Jose in the restaurant. However at breakfast which excluded any hot options (unless paid for), coffee was not offered unless requested. Cleanliness in some areas was an issue. The pedal bin in the mail toilets of the restaurant did not work. The towel dispenser tray there was rusty. The upstairs sun terrace had not been cleaned and cleared of leaves for days. Sunloungers were stained. Overall opinion: overpriced.

We were really looking forward to staying at Bannisters Pavilion Mollymook for our baby moon, but unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. For nearly $700 a night, we expected a well-maintained, comfortable beautiful — instead, the hotel felt run down and not taken care of at all. There were cobwebs, stains on the carpet, and an overall sense that the room and hotel itself hadn’t been properly refreshed in a long time. The pool is tiny and facing the road. When we went up to the rooftop with the lounges they were all covered and had cobwebs all over them so was not nice or inviting to lounge around. The bathroom flooded after a simple shower, and we had to request a rubber mat just to be able to use it safely. Honestly, we’ve had far better accommodation at 2–3 star hotels for a fraction of the price. We don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this stay really missed the mark. For the cost, we expected so much more. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t return or recommend based on this experience.

Dated hotel missing the luxury feel that is advertised. Bed was very comfy and staff were excellent - that saved our stay. Very loud road and rooms were not sound proof. Only told the week of our booking that the restaurant onsite was closed to a private event both nights of stay. Overall experience was not worth the price paid.
