Manager was extremely helpful and kind. Only thing we didn’t like was how noisy the doors closing was but after 10pm we were dead asleep and didn’t hear anything.

The stay was good and the service was very helpful. Just that it would have been better if we had some table in the room to place our valuables as everything had to be placed on the floor. It was quiet inconvenient. But the games room was entertaining , the kitchen was wonderful and we were not aware of the shared bathroom it was our first time booking but it was just one night and five rooms had a set of bathrooms that made it easy for us to be able to use it at our convenience. We had a enjoyable stay and safe. Thank you YHA staff and management.

Easy to book and check in, staff were helpful Breakfast kitchen could open earlier but that’s not a major issue

Perfect accommodation for 30 on a budget, kitchens and lounge areas are great, pillows were a bit thin but overall a success for our needs

It was fine for a short stay - some minor inconveniences like lift and drink dispenser not working, but otherwise really fine. We took the private rooms with ensuite facilities and would recommend the place to my fellow travellers.

I liked the position of the property and the well fitted out amenities I didn't like not having wifi

POSITIVES -Lady at front desk was helpful and friendly with advice on things to do there -Kitchen had good facilities NEGATIVES -extremely overpriced at $135 a night for me and my girlfriend. -Bed was hard and difficult to sleep all night -noisy with a loud droning of machinery, like a generator that could - be heard all night outside window when closed -kitchen was meant to be closed at 1045 but 18 year olds were there talking loud and smoking at 12 midnight. Which also meant smoke was coming through my window when I had it slightly open -paid for Queen but was given two twins hare single beds pushed together -beds were hard and not comfortable -wifi didn't work at all -lifts were turned off at night. Probably to save electricity -no one was at reception after 6pm -poorly designed blinds in room had gaps on the sides meaning the sunlight was bright and woke me up from sunrise -TV was unbranded and tiny at around 50cm long. Probably the smallest I've ever seen -location far from restaurants in cowes

It was the best hostel stay for my trip as i compared it to the other 4 that i stayed in. :Pros - friendly staff - towels rent available - proper and comfortable room size, 2 double decker beds with a toilet in the room. - only hostel that has a wall mounted heater provided. - shared tv room and lounge available - fully equipped kitchen with decent and proper storing area for food items. :Cons - self making of bed and pillow sheets - no convenience store around the area, closes on is a 15mins drive - night time the area surrounding the hostel is dead, no car and you are screwed (lucky I rented one), no taxi or uber avaliable as i have checked for fun so if you are hungry than your best option is to sleep thru the night. Stayed this hostel to catch the Penguin Parade. Cheap and good hostel.

Great stay, I didn't notice it was a family hostel when I booked. Location wise, it's barely on Phillip Island, but again my fault for not researching. Staff were lovely, the queen sized bed was so comfy!

J'ai séjourné dans un dortoir mixte de 4 personnes avec sa salle de bain privée. Propre, calme dans les couloirs et les chambres. Dispose d'un parking gratuit. Proche des activités (Penguin parade à 20 min en voiture environ, plages,...). Possibilité d'arrivée tardive. Cuisine équipée.
