To whom this may concern, I stayed the past weekend (December 19th/20th) with my wife and daughter at ibis Liège Centre Opéra, room 517, while visiting the Christmas Market. I am writing to formally express my disappointment and shock regarding the condition of the bathroom in our room. As shown in the attached photos I took during our stay, the bathroom was in a completely unacceptable state. There was a persistent rotten drain smell throughout our stay, which was already unpleasant enough. However, every time we took a shower, the bathtub leaked brown water all over the bathroom floor. This was not only disgusting, but also extremely disappointing, especially given that we were travelling as a family. This is absolutely not the standard we expected when booking an ibis hotel. The situation made our stay very uncomfortable and left us with a very poor impression of your establishment. I am extremely disappointed by this experience and will think twice before booking at ibis again in the future. I would appreciate your feedback on this matter. Kind regards, P. du Plessis

La moquette de la chambre était sale , on ne peut ouvrir les fenêtres , il faisait trop chaud. Le petit dejeuner est basique , à9h il n'y avait plus de viennoiseries , pains ... Le personnel par contre à l'accueil est sympathique .

Die Frau am Empfang war schrecklich. Weil sie keine Karten ausstellen konnte, hat sie völlig die Nerven verloren. Absolut unprofessionell!

Nice hotel, great location, very kind staff

Super zentral gelegen, besser geht es kaum. Alles zu Fuß oder per Tram gut erreichbar. Ruhig, doppelte Fenster, daher dring nichts von draußen rein. Abstriche muss man bei der Sauberkeit und beim Frühstück machen, besser ohne buchen und ins Café gehen. Für einen kurzen Trip nach Liegé allerdings super geeignet, wenn die Erkundung der City im Vordergrund steht. Parken ist ebenfall super im darunter gelegenen Parkhaus für 10€ pro Tag (Stand 2025) mit abgestempleter Parkkarte.

Had to change rooms. First room had bad odour and no opening window to remove it Second room no opening window, so in the night extremely hot no way to cool

Very centrally located

On balance, disappointing. Positives: great location for my visit to opera (less than a minute away); good, fair price; friendly, helpful staff; room decent size with good desk (always a plus). Negatives: lingering bad smell in room, carpets really need replacing, the 'double bed' were 2 singles badly put together, not locked together so by the time I woke up, one of the single had completely detached itself from the other, so essentially you sleep in a single. Bed sheets were clean but seen better days.

the area around the hotel is awful.

Even it is not the modern hotel and facilities, the location and excellent staff make our stay comfortable with our pet

E’ un classico Ibis, un po’ al di sotto della media. Le stanze sono veramente piccole. La moquette della stanza e quella dei corridoi sono veramente molto macchiate. Cortesi ed efficienti gli addetti alla reception, ottima la colazione servita in un ampio locale. Problematico il raggiungimento del Parking Opera, con cui la struttura è convenzionata, a causa dei lavori in corso e delle isole pedonali
