Apollon Apartments

The room was very clean and the staff frequently changed the sheets and gave us fresh towels. The pool is just downstairs and the beach is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Die gesamte Anlage und zumindest unser Appartement schon in die Jahre gekommen. Mann sieht viele sachen die schon länger kaputt sind oder langsam kaputt gehen wo mann nichts macht. Es liegen kaputte Laternen rum, die WC werden scheinbar auch sehr selten gereinigt, die Liegen sind meist auch fast alle sehr früh belegt, so dass wenn man mittags da ankommt kaum noch was frei ist. Um die Anlage rum ist es meist laut und dreckig. Die Mülltonnen stehen überal offen rum, es landet der komplette müll ohne irgendwelche sortierung in der selben tonne. Unser Appartement wurde dürftig gereinigt, die Ausstattung schon älter, die Matratzen durch gelegen. Die Schränke von der Küchenzeile waren bei uns halb aus der wand gerissen und drohten abzustürzen. Erst nach dem hinweisen wurden die abgehängt und nach 2 Tagen wieder an die wand gebracht. Mann hat insgesammt den Eindruck, dass da kaum investiert wird!

Apollo was nice place. Air conditioning was our top priority and it worked perfectly! There was laundry machine at the apartment which was also a big plus. Although it was left wet and closed so it smelled a bit bad in the beginning. Few empty rounds with high temp and it was ok. Beds were mediocre for big guys like us but I can't say it was bad. Pool area is nice and clean. Reception is open sometimes during the day but not later than 1800hrs. Apartment had to be also paid by cash only (also deposit) which was quite a challenge for us. Money exchange office almost next door just lifted up their hands that we need to go to a bank - which during weekend was impossible. This was however easily agreed with the reception. There's few small "supermarkets" very close and of course you can almost see the beach from the Apollo gate. If you want to rent a car just do it on your own, it seemed a bit overwhelming through the reception. But there's places nearby for that too. Overall it's within a quiet and safe area, our neighbors were very quiet and all went well. Just be ready to purchase your own shampoos, laundry tablets, toilet papers etc. as the cleaning service visits quite rarely and there was for example one roll of toilet paper to begin with. Do that and you will have a good time. All in all it was a nice place to spend 2 weeks.

Aivan ihana siisti ja toimiva paikka, meri vieressä samoin kauppa, kaikki tarvittava löytyi huoneistosta, ihanat rantaravintolat, ystävällinen vastaanotto ja whatsapp-yhteydenpito. Siistit ylläpidetyt altaat! Unelmalomapaikka!

We were really disappointed in how old fashioned and dreary the apartment was. Very little was offered in the way of housekeeping. Our bed sheets were not changed in 14 nights, the spare pillows had no pillow cases on and there was no mattress protector on the bed. The pool was nice, but the best areas were hogged every day by the same people putting towels out at ungodly hours. There was a mix of residents and holidaymakers with barely anyone speaking English so there's not much choice but to keep yourself to yourself. Ravda itself, I don't think gets many English tourists. We wanted to book a trip but there were none with English speaking guides. Nessebar old town is a 10 minute taxi ride away and is by far the nicest part of the area. I regret choosing these apartments, mainly because they were so poor for the money paid but also because Ravda is not a great choice unless you sit by a pool, or on the beach all day.
