Sun Leo Hotel

The whole Sihanoukville area is a disaster at the moment so I would suggest anyone to stay away for quite some time before the construction is mostly over. God knows how long that will take though. As for the property itself... There was no contact number or email to find anywhere to let the property know what time we were coming. So when we arrived, there was nobody around, we had to wait for over an hour and then finally the owner came out of his room where ha was probably taking a nap! He gave us free beers for the wait but that was just a small compensation, really. The room itself was ok, the owner offered to clean it and change the sheets and towels twice within the week we stayed there. The shower was not very good and felt like it was gradually losing pressure so by day 4 of 5 it took forever to clean ourselves. Due to the construction surrounding the hotel, we frequently lost power. The property had a generator but the owner was not around every time it went out to actually start the generator. As for other services, our booking came with breakfast, there were 5 options to choose from, some eggs, pancakes, muesli...etc. That was probably a highlight of the whole stay, the portions were rather small but tasted good although after a few days it got a little repetitive. All in all, I understand the the owner himself is not in a good position right now but there were still some things that could be improved even at a time like this.

Very new. Nice and clean. Very good choice if you are going for enjoy the day but not the best if you are solo travel and wan.t back at late night.

This was a scam. The room was a wooden box with a broken fan.Unlike what was advertised there was no toilet or shower in the room. There were two bathrooms one had a broken door both were filthy. No toilet paper or soap and one of the sinks was full of vomit which was never cleaned. The towel they had was made of nonabsorbant plastic. Also there was no wifi

This place was amazing! Comfy beds, nice breakfast and really lovely, over accommodating staff. They went above and beyond to assist us with our travels and did everything they could to help us out. The area of Sihanoukville USA bit rundown and the Chinese have taken over to build hotels but that shouldn’t take away from this amazing property and pristine beach!

ロシア人オーナーで、顧客もロシア人が多い。とても静かで長期滞在に向いています。市内中心部まで距離は短いのですが時間はかかります。隣にはカップ麺、飲み物くらいのコンビニが併設しています。 以下、このホテルとは関係ありませんが、最近、中国企業の開発の影響なのか道路事情が大変悪く、時速10kmくらいでしか走行出来ません。結構大型車がパンクしています。私のバイクもパンクしました。

L’hotel est tenu par des personnes russes qui nous ont aide a organiser le passage vers l’ile de Koh Rong Samloem. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Toutes les chambres donnent sur une bande de jardin bien entretenu. L’acces a la plage n’est pas direct et il faut marcher le long d’une route assez frequentee et desagreable. La salle de bain fait office de douche, le sol est donc trempe ce qui n’est agréable pour aller aux toilettes. Le petit dejeuner n’est pas copieux et n´est pas tres bon.

The area is the issue. The beach restaurants and bars where in disrepair. The Chinese investors are constructing everywhere. The roads are appalling. The standard around the area is very low. The Hotel was ok for the price. I feel for them because the area is a no go. However it will be different in the near future, to be fair.

We spent 5 nights at Sun Leo and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are beautifully kept and having breakfast at a table outside your room is a delightful way to start the day (although look out for the wild mynah birds - they like scrambled egg!). The breakfasts are delicious, too - particularly the fresh fruit, pancakes and coffee. The hotel is literally a 5-minute walk from Otres 1 beach and they offer free beach towels, which is a real bonus. At the same time, it's far enough away from the bustle of the beach to be incredibly quiet and peaceful. A great place to stay.

Really nice hotel, very clean, modern and comfortable, close to bars on Otres 1. Breakfast good. Feel the staff could have helped a little more with the transport since they had it all advertised.

My husband and I were only here for a short stay (3 days), but we were grateful for the location and Veronica, the owner/manager! She provided water everyday and fresh towels for the beach. The breakfast on our patio was very nice, too! The room itself was pretty simple and had sliding glass doors that didn't seal at the bottom (we did have some mosquitoes and bugs). The shower was ok-warm water and ok pressure. We did notice the drain became smelly on our last day-we poured some water down it and it seemed to help a little. I'm sure Veronica would have helped us out if we were staying longer and brought it to her attention! Veronica also booked our bus tickets to leave. The company showed up for the wrong time (8am instead of 11am). We were not upset at all, but Veronica was so apologetic and kind in making the situation right! I would stay here again just to have such an attentive staff! She made our stay very nice!

Eine schöne kleine gepflegte Anlage die erst kürzlich eröffnet hat. Das Frühstück wird vor die Tür gebracht und ist auf europäischem Niveau. Bad und Bett sind für Kambodscha und Preis Leistung gut. Kleinen Abzug gibt es für die Ameisen. Außerdem ist das Hotel nur über die parallel Straße „von „oben“ erreichbar. Um zum Strand zu gelangen muss ein kleines Stück (100m) auf einer Gut befahrenen Straße gegangen werden. Trotzdem, nachts sehr ruhig. Die Anlage ist sehr kompakt und nett was aber der Privatsphäre nicht besonders hilft. Aber natürlich den Kontakt zu anderen Gästen erhöht! Alle waren nett und gesprächig. Rezeption immer besetzt draft beer für 1$, Prost!
