B - Sechelt Private Coastal Home

Well... we were very excited about our beachfront stay with the amazing views! Even spoke with the “owner” about swimming and paddle boarding out front! Little did we know, the pictures of the exterior were for the OTHER home and not the one we spent money on. We were scammed. As soon as we arrived we phoned panicking. We were told the cabin in the back was in fact what we had rented and if we had a problem to contact hotels.com!!!!! I was devastated, as we had a family weekend planned out on the water... my husband and I were excited to bbq and spend evenings on the beautiful deck after the kids went to bed. What we were met with was a shack with tree views. No deck. (One chair outside) No living room. No spoons. No TV. No garbage bags. And no response from our “host”. We finally got in touch with the owner during our stay... he apologized profusely and promised my husband a full refund for the “misunderstanding” (fraud), but has since gone mia. Please don’t rent this. The woman renting the front home (the one in the pictures) knocked on our door in tears, to let us know she had been cleaning for 5 hours upon her arrival and that it was not even fit for animals to stay. Sechelt is a beautiful community. Find somewhere honest to stay :) Don’t rent this home.
