Sigma Inn & Suites Melville

Room was clean but somewhat dated. The hot tub was out of service and not working. The cable TV was not working in our room as well. When we contacted front desk, they informed us no one would be able to help us out. Apparently the Technician was off for 2 weeks but had no one else assigned as back up? Place is pricy for what they offer and amenities.

The breakfast could have had a better selection.

Very cuteous staff, good breakfast, very quiet hotel, clean comfortsble rooms.

Room was clean, and staff friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast item selection was one of the best I've encountered. This hotel caters largely to transient railroad personnel that may be sleeping at any hour of the day, so the hotel promotes a quiet attitude from all guests so as not to disturb those sleeping at irregular hours. The quiet made for an enjoyable stay.

It was fine

The room was pretty good. Loved the kitchenette and full fridge! It was outside the room that was pretty bad. The hot tub was broken and couldn’t be used, and the hotel didn’t notify us ahead of time. The breakfast had many issues. 1) the waffle maker was badly sticking to the pan no matter how much cooking spray you used. 2) the juices were terrible. The “orange juice” was basically water. 3) their breakfast person was also running the front desk and checking people out. So they were t paying much attention to the breakfast and we had to go tell them at the front desk when things were empty or other issues…like the coffee machine not working and no hot water for oatmeal. They said to just heat up water in the microwave but they did t even have a place to get water from!

From the time of arrival until my check out,. I found the staff to be very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole complex is very clean and feels very welcoming.

Front desk staff was courteous, room was clean. Only knock on this place was they say they offer a hot breakfast, but in fact they do not. Only thing hot was the waffle and the coffee.

The cable was not working for 3 of the 8 nights I stayed and the hot burners worked but heated up extremely slow. Hot tub was also down for maintenance but looks as if it had not been operational for a long time. The room was clean and beds and pillows were comfortable.

This hotel is older but the rooms are clean and the staff are very nice. Unfortunately we had not the greatest guests above us who were incredibly noisy. A couple of complaints were made and the manager compensated us accordingly. Manager is very nice at this hotel.

Bit expensive for what it is. Wifi also didn’t work

Stopped here for 1 night. Really nothing remarkable for this hotel. Front desk service
