Studio 1 Motel

The room smelled terrible, the bathroom was in a horrible state of repair. The shower fixture didn’t work properly, holes in the wall, sink fixture loose. Toilet wobbled and seat loose. We won’t be back.

Very clean. Close by everything. Enjoyed my stay here. And I will book here always when I am in this town.

As an older person on my own I felt safe, and the room was clean.

Renovated but very thin walls

Studio 1 Motel was a great little place to stay. Close to the 401, but right next to gas stations, restaurants, and a grocery store, it was convenient to get to. The room was clean and well set up. The pillows were very thin, but this was the only thing we noticed as less than ideal. It was quiet and we didn't notice any noise from outside the room. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. We will definitely be going back to stay again. Thank you.

the person who checked me in was friendly and able to answer some questions I had. I felt somewhat comfortable but would not necessarily recommend for a family or female travellers.

My room had no wifi (too far from the office) and the TV was stuck on a basic cable children's show the whole time. Couldn't even turn it off, the remotes both didn't work. The walls in the bathroom had been kicked in and covered with cheap brown tape. Some of the electrical outlets didn't work. All in all, the Bates Motel would have been better.

this is a bottom end stay over place , would never stay here if a woman was with me, No garbage can in room, no lamp ( except ceiling light). Just an over all grubby feeling to the place. would not stay there again.

Check in could have been faster

We had to wait for the office staff to return to check us in. They did not have any of my information on hand- I had to write out everything and tell them how much I paid at which point they became more service-oriented/ polite. We were given some extra towels and assigned a room close to the office because the wi-fi further away wasn't good. The people in the room next to us were friendly but were smoking pot the whole time- and with thin walls the scent was high. No safety lock on the inside of the suite door, which in this neighbourhood we felt was definitely needed. A good thing we brought our own bed sheets and disinfectant wipes for every high touch surface including the fridge. It was really hot and humid and it took us a while to figure out how to get the room cooled using the small window air conditioner. Definitely over priced for what it was. $70-90/night would be a more reasonable range.

Booked weeks ahead from expedia and when we got there, there was no room available.

Not a fan of this place. Had to wait to check in as nobody was on site. No deadbolt on the doors, only the knob latch. A/C wasn’t working, and after the second night I left one day early since I was bitten by spiders. No refund was given for the unused night, and very poor communication with the staff and Expedia. I had to book another hotel for the last night. I’m also not a picky traveller…and would be ok with a very simple motel. I knew this would be no bells and whistles, but didn’t expect these issues and didn’t expect Expedia not to help.

The room was dirty and not as described. We booked 2 queen beds and got 1 double.

Clean, but nothing special. Comfortable bed, friendly service for check in. Cable didn't work, forgot to ask for the wifi password so couldn't access, but not a big deal. Sufficient for a place to sleep. Fridge and microwave were great.

Room needed a lot of work. Smell was not good, walls had minor damage, toilet had an attachment on it not kid friendly. Broken window, blinds were severely damaged. Tv didn’t work brought in small tv to replace. Not ready on check it. Not all the outlets worked, the chairs outside were damaged. There was a collection of 8 used mattresses outside in sight. The mattresses in the room were not comfortable and one was as stiff as a bench. Staff was really friendly though and I hate to put such a poor review because she was so nice but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Je la recommande a personne a moin que vous soyez fumeurs c'est l'endroit idéale pour vous. Je ne suis pas resté ça sentait trop mauvais. J'ai perdu mon argent et mon temps.
