Conchal Hotel

Good location for access to Playa Brasilito and Conchal and reasonable price for the area. Hotel rooms are simple and clean. Enjoyed morning conversations with our waiter Donald! Staff friendly and accommodating.

É um hotel mediano, com instalações antigas que já exigem reforma. Mas a cama era confortável e o quarto estava limpo. O ar condicionado não estava funcionando pois apenas ventilava. Café da manhã medíocre coko é comum nos hotéis da Costa Rica.

Es un hotel pequeño pero cómodo. Sugiero pedir habitaciones en el primer piso, pues las gradas son muy altas

There was no hot water in the shower or sink for the entire stay. Hotel staff attempted to fix the problem with no success. When I booked our trip the hotel was supposed to have breakfast included and on check in we were informed that breakfast would not be included. I have screenshots showing breakfast included as well as paperwork at the hotel showing that breakfast is included. No breakfast! The room did not have adequate places for luggage. The room could have been cleaner. The concrete floors had sand and dirt on them. The door did not seal. You could see daylight under the door. I really can’t understand how this property was rated a 9.2 by Expedia???

We enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated Katherine at the front desk.She was very helpful. We loved the Conchal beach, that was just a short stroll from the hotel.

Excellent service. Friendly and helpful staff. Food was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel and would gladly come back on a future trip.

I would recommend for up to a few nights. Nice pool and breakfast options. Had dinner there once and it was good too. A good value overall.

Equipe educada atenciosa, mas a ducha do quarto nao nos atendeu, muito fraca, pouca agua, sem nenhuma pressao. Cafe da manha bom, nao havia sucos, yogurte e queijos. Piscina faltando manutenção, azulejos faltando ou quebrados.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. We had to stand in the puddles in the shower with the drainage problem. The staff fixed it after two days. We enjoyed having breakfast at the restaurant seeing so many animals (iguanas, birds, and howler monkeys).

I stayed at Conchal on my first & last day in Costa Rica. The staff at Conchal are exceptional! They go above & beyond to ensure you're comfortable & well taken care of. They were also very flexible with check in times. The shuttle service to and from the airport was seamless & communication from the hotel was great. The Costa Rican breakfast included was so delicious & the drinks made by the fabulous bartender Mr. X were amazing! Jennifer at Reception is phenomenal. She arranged a catamaran & snorkel tour for me with lunch and transportation to & from the hotel included. The rooms are cozy, A/C was perfect & pool is nice. The greetings from the moneys & Iguanas around the property were unforgettable. 100% would stay here again.

Staff is excellent, property overall is charming however rooms are stark, dingy, basic and not family friendly.

The staff are quite nice, and make the place feel like home; they are accommodating. There is coffee, tea, water, and ice available in the restaurant at all hours. Breakfast is quality, chef and staff are professional. Restaurant food is of good quality, we ordered food to our room several times, delicious, especially the papaya salad. We had the “honeymoon room”, which had a king bed, basic minimal furnishings, and non-smart TV. Wi fi worked well mostly, hot water in shower never ran out, air con and ceiling fan (a little loud) worked . This room is on the 2nd floor, with front of room balcony area shared with another room next door. There was no one in next door room for our stay, but otherwise it could have been not so great for privacy. Our room had a side balcony, but it faced directly into other rooms in building beside. There seems little privacy in any of the rooms outdoor areas, as diners in the restaurant can look directly at you. The hotel was not so busy during this time, so I felt privacy was decent. During busy times I would not be so sure. There is a lot to do in the area; this a great homebase to explore the region. We did not use the pool, but it looks ok. The property gardens are beautiful, well maintained and diverse. We saw many animals on the property, including monkeys right out front our room!

Inside of Conchal hotel made you feel like you were not next to a busy street with its beautiful plants and trees cascaded all over. All the staff were extremely pleasant and nice. We were particularly pleased with the front desk agent Jennifer and our morning server Donald. We forgot the name of our first server but he was very friendly and Welcoming as well. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway in the jungle surrounded by animals and beautiful plants. We will definitely be back!!!

This was the perfect hotel! The room was clean and cute! The pool area and restaurant were well maintained and lush with plants. The food was fantastic, and we even had vegan options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The best part for us though were the visits from the howler monkeys and iguanas every day!
