Live Aqua Punta Cana - All Inclusive - Adults Only

Buyer BEWARE , this is a hub for Time Share , so the same suite we paid for was $1500 less for the time share folks let alone the class of people was very interesting at best , we had a private swim out pool that wasn’t private at all, one of the pool guys interrupted our couples tune of just hanging out at our pool and decided to check the skimmers , they came to our terrace and checked our jacuzzi which this could have all waited until we weren’t at our pool. At the time of all this I was massaging my wife’s foot and the pool guy decided to grab my wife’s other foot and tickle the bottom of her foot which really threw us both off (we made an official complaint and no one followed up with us) .. Service at the restaurants very poor .. Sadly it was our 10 year anniversary and that’s our memory but we made the best of it. Stay at Secrets Resorts or Sandals if your looking for impeccable service and hospitality.

I celebrated my birthday at this beautiful resort and I had the best time. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

The entire team at the Mexican restaurant was outstanding! Our server, Bienvenido, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The Churrasco was absolutely delicious; the chef truly outdid himself both times we dined there. An all-around fantastic experience!

The property was nice and clean. Not many food options and the quality/taste of the food wasn’t the best. I arrived back to my room one afternoon and the towel rack to the counter was broken as well as a part of the sink was dismantled by housekeeping. No explanation was provided nor was maintenance notified Money was also taken from room was the reason I rated the property low.

There were quite a few choices in food. However, only a few were worth choosing. The Italian place was a joke. The pasta was like something out of a can. The Hibachi place was good. The bed was hard. By our last night we were ready to go and so was our back

Eric the butler was one of the best parts of the resort.

Great staff, especially Red the entertainment coordinator who worked tirelessly. A positive energy throughout the whole complex. Eric our butler and Linda and Salvador the breakfast staff were outstanding as well.

It was a beautiful property and we loved our room. We did find some quirks with the resort however, beginning with having VIP status and never being told when we were checked in. When we brought it to the attention of the staff she laughed at us and said, “Did you think everyone got to check-in here in the VIP lounge?” Like we knew we were in the VIP lounge! LOL! Nothing is labeled! The restaurant food was good, not a destination for “foodies”. Avoid the Mexican restaurant. We are from California, so our standards are high but everyone we met at the resort was disappointed. The French and Italian were best. And the sushi was good too. Our favorite was the breakfast buffet! Anything you could imagine! I am still missing my breakfast omelet! Best I’ve ever had! The café was great and we treated ourselves to gelato every day! The best review we found of the desserts read, “everything looks amazing but tastes like nothing.” And sadly, it’s true- but I think maybe it’s because we Americans are over sugared! :/ On our third day we were excited to finally get to enjoy the resort because we were away on excursions for the first two days. Unfortunately, the resort spoiled this with an 8:30am wake up call that was not ordered so that they could summon us to their pitch for what was essentially an All-Inclusive timeshare nightmare straight out of something from Jordan Peele. Avoid it at all cost. Though we were given the standard “free” gift of a 25min massage for enduring this hell!

We absolutely loved our time at the Live Aqua Punta Cana! Special shout out to Red for a great time every single day we were there! Loved the food, the beach, and the atmosphere. It was the perfect introduction to all-inclusives for my mom! :)

My stay at Aqua Live was just okay. Some of the staff were somewhat misleading. They initially appeared welcoming and attentive, informing me about complimentary items I could enjoy during my stay. However, it seemed to be a tactic to pressure me into considering their timeshare options. If you decline during the presentation, the once attentive staff conveniently becomes unavailable for the rest of your visit. Additionally, the food was disappointing. The lobster, which incurs an extra charge to your room, was overcooked, and the meals overall lacked flavor. The sodas also tasted diluted. The swim-up pool attached to my room was just okay; however, please note that the jacuzzi is connected to the pool, so it isn’t warm at all. Overall, I would rate my stay a 5 out of 10. The only pleasant aspect was the spa, and my room was properly attended to. On a positive note, Patrick, who works at the restaurant ATL, was the highlight of my visit!

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Shady practices, poor service, and serious safety/health issues forced us to leave halfway and move to Excellence El Carmen, which was far superior. At check-in, they lied about room availability to upsell us. Construction noise was constant, and the beach was unusable due to rotting seaweed they don’t clean (unlike other resorts nearby). Our first room was filthy: broken AC, mold smell, cracked balcony glass, broken lock, stains everywhere. Despite multiple complaints, no one came to fix anything. We noticed guests with VIP wristbands got better service, even at the pool bar where we were ignored. We escalated the issues for 3 days. The manager offered an upgraded room, VIP wristbands, and a beach dinner. The dinner ended with a waiter trying to serve bread from a plate used to stack dirty dishes. Then we got food poisoning from that meal. The upgraded room was worse: broken door and balcony locks, mold, non-working shower and fridge, and it was clearly uncleaned after the last guest. Again, no help from staff. We left early, and while the hotel agreed to refund unused nights, they ignored Expedia until we filed a dispute through our credit card. Terrible experience. Choose Excellence instead, it’s worth the extra money.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was extremely comfortable. There were only a few hiccups. Diego and Yukiery were very accommodating at the front desk but I was given paper to sign that was in Spanish. I had to ask for the manager before getting it in English. I wasn't given a welcome drink when I checked in on Monday, but when I checked out on Thursday, guest were given welcome drinks. I was greeted with a cool towel which was nice. My room and the property were very clean and I loved having a hot tub on the balcony. Shout-out to housekeeping. Staff was amazing! Diana was a fabulous server. Rafael and Julion made delicious drinks. Angelo and Benjamin always made sure I had drinks in my hand when sitting at the beach. The beach is ugly in July. You won't get in the water because there is too much seaweed (to no fault of the hotel). It wasn't a problem for me because I took a beach excursion by Hispaniola Adventures. Live Aqua has many pools. One was more of a party pool and the others were more quiet. So, I enjoyed that. The pool closes at 6:30. I wish they stayed open a little longer. Food was decent. There are many options and they don't take reservation... which I like. The Mexican restaurant took over an hour. So, I left, but the Mediterranean was amazing! This was such a nice stay. It was everything that I needed... except for a beautiful beach.
