Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive

It is a beautiful property, but was disappointed with the beach that had a lot of seaweed. Some of the food could have more flavor. Staff was kind & polite.

Lopesan charged for my child even though Expedia was informed the ages of my children. Terrible experience checking in.

The property was very nice. The vegetation and landscape were beautiful. The staff was also very friendly. We tried the buffet, the Italian, French, and steak house restaurants. All were very good. The service a bit slow but overall good. The rooms were very spacious but they are in need of a bit TLC as some things were broken. They have a bowling alley that limits to only kids over 10 years of age. This I think was a bit ridiculous. They also should have more nightly entertainment. The first night we arrived they had a live band which was very nice but after that not much nightly entertainment.

I loved everything about this place. The food, the drinks, the people working, the rooms… everything. The bad. If you get hurt do not go to the clinic. My niece bumped her elbow and we thought it was dislocated. The cost? $1,000 USD and at no point were we made aware of the accruing cost and what the costs were. No transparency at all. But the resort was amazing nonetheless.

Pros: Multiple pools and comfortable beds. Room was clean upon arrival. Grounds are kept for the most part. Most things accomplished through the app. Easy check in. The food in the reservation only restaurants was delicious. Cons:No welcome drinks offered during check in. Food selections in the buffet are terrible!!! We barely ate. They do not change daily selections and use left over dinner food throughout the day breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hard to get reservations for specialty restaurants unless you complain. 2x this was the only way they made reservations available to me. No one is removing used pool side cups enough, wiping tables or asking would you like a drink. Beach sucks. Water full of seaweed. Resort pretty boring. Adult pool party was for “Unique” guests.Room service is very aggressive and came to my room and took pictures of the towels while my daughter was in the room. I was told the picture taker was the housekeeping supervisor making sure everything was cleaned. Inappropriate excessive entry after I told them we didn’t need any room service. 3 times in one day to be exact. They knock and still let themselves in without waiting. There were no do not disturb signs in the room. My toilet had to be fixed 2x in 24 hours. They play with the A/C at night. The room Is muggy and you are sweating like a pig. Some pleasant staff but most appear miserable and unpleasant. The resort is huge and it’s so much walking to get to things you want. I am never returning here.

El hotel de manera general es muy bonito, sus habitaciones son muy espaciosas, pero para 5 estrella, creo que le falta, sus opciones de comida no tienen sabores maravillosos como para esta categoría, el servicio es bueno pero le falta tal vez subir el nivel, los restaurantes especializados no fueron de mi agrado, pero el hotel desde el punto de vista de diseño y construcción muy lindo.

When showering all the water went outside. They had NO COLD BEER. I’m Dominican and they had NO PRESIDENTE BEER ANYWHERE ! That’s so not right. The only beer they had through out the property was La canita. Food wasn’t great. Definitely not worth all the money we paid

Gorgeous property, but terrible service. Front desk and concierge were unhelpful and rude. Restaurant reservations were a nightmare for our group, and one room had a roach infestation that took hours to resolve (and not because they wanted too). My daughter was injured and they had no first aid available. Spa service was shorter that what paid and a service was not included. Several in our group ended the trip with severe stomach issues. Beautiful setting, but service guest care were unacceptable and it lacks entertainment. We won’t return. This is money and time we won't get back.

Very spacious rooms and balcony for relaxing, Large pool beach area. Amenities, food, that gym++. The theater was a great experience.

I just returned from an amazing 5-day, 4-night stay at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort in the Dominican Republic, and it was everything I hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. Check-in was quick, and the property itself is stunning — lush gardens, modern design, and a vibrant yet relaxing vibe. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a fantastic view and daily restocked minibar. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom had a luxurious rainfall shower. Dining was a highlight — the buffet had tons of variety, and the à la carte restaurants (especially Italian and Japanese) were top-notch. The drinks were strong and well-made, with plenty of bars to choose from. We spent most of our time between the massive pool and the gorgeous white-sand beach. There were always plenty of loungers, and the water was crystal clear. The adult-only pool offered a quieter escape when we wanted to unwind. The entertainment was fun and energetic, with live music, shows, and beach parties. The staff really brought the experience to life — always friendly, helpful, and upbeat. Whether you're looking to relax or have some fun, this resort has it all. I highly recommend Lopesan Costa Bávaro and would absolutely return!

The staff on the resort were AMAZING from Check-in to Check out. I stayed with my mom and her grandchild. My mom loved the flora and the over all ambiance. She really enjoyed the pool. I was given an upgrade on my room to a swim up suite and I enjoyed that thoroughly. I would return again to this resort.

First night was rough, big party scene that week, left the pool area loud and dirty. After that things tightened up and we had a great week. Not a quiet place, but plenty to enjoy and great food!

This was the most full service, wonderful experience I've ever had at an all inclusive resort. I will definitely return with my family. Lopesan got everything right. My kids loved the beach and waterpark. There was plenty to do. We didn't do it all, so Lopesan is worth a second visit!

The pools were absolutely amazing. They did a good job trying to clean up the kelp from the ocean but the ocean was not accessible due to the kelp. There was a wide variety of food and the restaurants were great! I do wish the staff spoke some English as it was very difficult to communicate if you don’t speak the staff’s version of Spanish (the language was not exactly the Spanish that we learn in America). Also, the excursion planners do not communicate with the people actually taking you on the excursions…they are definitely on island time so double everything they say. Ie if they say something will take 1.5 hours plan on at least 3 hours.
