Days Inn by Wyndham Southampton Rownhams

I had an issue with the bathroom.I am in a wheelchair and from the pictures I thought the bathroom was big enough but it wasn’t. Maybe my fault Maybe the pictures.

The room across from us was being vacuumed at 07:30 hrs unbelievable

The lady at check in was very helpful and switched us to a ground floor room when requested. They had noted my request for a late check out and made it available (at the £10 published cost) As the hotel is next to a motorway service station there was the usual facilities including ev charge points The hotel is basic but ideal for a short and easy hop to Southampton cruise terminals

It justifies the price we paid and had a peaceful night without any traffic noise. Friendly and welcoming staff, clean rooms.

Handy location as I was working Southampton, just off the motorway. Room is as you’d expect for a chain.

Convenient location for Peppa pig visit

tricky to get to if you miss the motorway exit - with all the roadworks our satnav was confused. Lovely receptionist, very helpful.

Great place to stay for short stop offs, stayed for 5 nights due to work commitments and was great value for money.

It was a good price for being a hotel at a services. Staff were lovely.

The hotel is fine if you are on a trip and you just want sleep after a long journey. you won’t be disappointe as it’s quiet and clean. Don’t expect a meal as it’s just junk food nearby (McDonald’s). Do not put in your gps the postcode as it sends you nowhere near.

We’ve stayed at several of these hotels and never had an issue but we were very disappointed this time. We didn’t get any sleep until at least 3:30 because of people talking really loudly and making a noise. As the desk is not manned at night I didn’t know what to do. As I’d been driving for 4hrs I really wanted some sleep but didn’t get any. This has put me off using your hotels again.

I have stayed here a couple of times, due to work. The receptionist is so polite and always greets with a big smile. Hotel is simple and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Irene welcomed is cheerfully even though we arrived after 2am. There was a shortage of hot water (had to boil a kettle to shave) and the toilet kept running. overall a good experience.

Good for traffelers

It suited very well and I would revisit.

Staff very good

The hotel building was modern as was the furniture in the room. There was no one on the desk until 2pm so trying to request early check in at 1pm when i arrived was impossible. I requested extra pillows as my daughter, partner and I all use 2 plus the pillows supplied were as flat as a pancake. They could not supply enough to fulfill this request because they wer fully booked. The room itslef was hotter than the sun, we turned off the heating and opened the window, i did eventually cool daown at 2am when i woke up now freezing! The shower only half worked and was not hot. They only gave us 2 mugs for 3 people in the room. The mirror situation for 2 females trying to get ready was rediculous, one full size by the door in an unlit area, the bathroom one which was steamed up and a small one on the wall by the tv also badly lit and required standing to be used. Not great overall, if they had a little more attention to detail it has the potential to be an ok hotel.
