We upgraded to a courtyard suite and it was well worth it! Beautiful hotel & grounds.

It was very peaceful as soon as you drive up the driveway. Everybody was very friendly, very clean and easy to park. This was my second visit and will go again. Highly recomended

Amazing architecture. Very smart, polite, friendly and helpful staff. Extremely interesting building, full of history. Beautiful setting and massive grounds. Great views. Very comfortable. Traditional historic carvings, decor, ornate ceilings. Great breakfast, cooked to perfection. Very comfortable, fun and exciting. Love it.

Set in the countryside the building is very impressive. There is ample parking but due to the hotels popularity one may have to walk a fair distance to get to the entrance. The entrance hall with its staircase is very impressive. On checking in the friendly receptionist gives you a map so you can find your room. This is a vital document as the route to ones room is a maze. We were upgraded and had a suite on two floors. Arriving late we had dinner in the Atrium. The food was good. The next morning we had breakfast in the Restaurant which was excellent. Prior to leaving we walked round the grounds which every guest should see.

Unique history aspects could be better presented and walks coukd be developed with nature and tree and environment and garden - its all there just needs a story noard and guide type of lead. I love staying at this hotel!!! Always feel like a princess, from driving down the long winding drive, checking in with the helpful staff, to being waited on by the attentive bar staff. The courtyard rooms are cosy but not always easy to find your way to them... The rooms in the main castle are stunning, well decorated and have everything you could possibly need. The Bistro bar serves great food and drinks with a lovely atmosphere. The main restaurant is a beautiful setting for a buffet breakfast with high quality food. I will certainly be going back!!!

The building and gardens were beautiful. Our room was ok but the bathroom needed tlc. Buffet ‘hot’ breakfast was disappointing as it was luke warm. The juices were lacking flavour. Reception staff friendly.

Lovely stay for couples or get together. Lovely hotel, yummy food and vast range of drinks options. Definitely will be back.

I can only award this hotel 3 stars, sorry. The surroundings are fabulous. It’s beautiful as you drive up to Tortworth Court and when you enter, the decor is lovely. Unfortunately, the receptionist that greeted me couldn’t even crack a smile, but I thought maybe she’s had a bad day and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, fast forward to when I get to my room. It’s freezing. Obviously the housekeeping in this “4 star” establishment didn’t think to turn the radiators on ready for when guests arrive…when it’s barely 5 degrees outside. I thought I’d ring down to reception to ask for a heater. No answer. Apparently they don’t like to answer the phone. They like guests to use a chat bot. So 3/4’s of an hour later, I get a heater delivered, by which time this has allowed me to check out the room (232). All I can say is, I’ve stayed in better premier inn rooms. There were no 4 star touches. It was drab. I was staying there with my disabled son and he is easily pleased. So, unfortunately, I had to stay put, otherwise I would have braved the long walk to reception to see the miserable receptionist and got the room changed because, to me, it was not good enough. I can add photos to this review, if it will let me, but otherwise you’ll just have to imagine all the lack of attention to detail because I ran out of space to explain. On a positive note, the staff in the Atrium were lovely. Breakfast was nice, but some rude staff who couldn’t be bothered to speak ruined it.

Beautiful hotel. Great breakfast. Only negative point was that the pool closed relatively early at 8pm

Fab looking building nice restaurant and gym but tv in the room to small and remote didn’t work. Bathroom dated and noisy

Poor services at Reception

First time at this hotel but it will now be my go to when in the area for business.
