Holiday Inn Express BATH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

OK there was a goody bag for the dog but no bowl and for the £30 extra you have to pay you get a Dog-friendly room which means you get stains on the carpet! It’s the first time I’ve paid as much as £17.50 for overnight parking and been made to feel like it was a bargain! Non-residents are expected to pay £50! You get 10% discount at the excellent Indian restaurant across the road but no one at the hotel told us this. Excellent location for central Bath.

A 10 minutes à pied du centre ville ancien de Bath avec confort, calme et bon petit déjeuner complet. Et un plus les fenêtres peuvent s’ouvrir.

Excellent stay totally ruined by the ludicrous toilet in our bathroom. The toilet seat was just over 14 inches off the ground (37cm.) which is well below knee high. Frankly I stood more chance of tripping over it than I did of sitting on it. Anyone of mature years (which we are)! would find this a major problem and I would think it may even result in injury. I was forced to walk down to reception where there were toilets not designed for Munchkin's. I’m sure the hotel were very lucky that neither my or I suffered no injury, which could’ve involved health and safety issues.

Comfortable bed

Location is a bit of a walk to tourist attractions. Hotel was basic. Breakfast was basic. Service was ok. Left something in the room and realized after checkout. Was difficult to raise anyone on the phone at the hotel for over an hour. Then when returning to pick up the item, they weren't sure if they had it even though on the phone they said they had it. Not a great experience

We found the hotel to be handy to walk to most of the sights of Bath. The room was quiet and was air-conditioned too.

Convenient and safe

Very good staff , specially Eduardo … I think he is asset to the property .. But the property itself is a bit dusty, you can feel the dust in the air …

Never book family rooms in that hotel, no space and a tiny second bed. Breakfast the worst during our Trip.

Fint hotell i gåavstand fra Bath sentrum. Fine rom, bra frokost.

The staff were so friendly and personable, and really elevated our stay. The rooms were nice and comfortable with everything that you needed. The hotel was an easy walking distance from downtown Bath without getting caught up in all the traffic. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The check in process was questionable. They tried to charge us more money than what the original booking was. There was a family checkjng in near us and the staff member was extremely rude to them. Breakfast was a shambles. Too many people and not enough staff, waiting for ages, runnjng out of food. Thd hotel had cobwebs in the corridors on windows, carpet not hovered. Would definitely not recommend

The room they show in pictures for family and given room was totally different. Still okay but what we see in pictures is bit space which was not there.. overall okay.. but this is the only thing bit disappointing.

We liked the location and ease of access. Also appreciated the free breakfast. I can't really think of anything we didn't like.

Disappointing experience. Issues with the Aircon, room not serviced until the late afternoon, poor breakfast ( bacon and sausages so overcooked and dry that were no longer edible), and not a close distance from the centre.

Very convenient location.

Myself and a friend were in Bath for one night as part of a golf trip. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Had a nice cold pint on tap before heading up to our twin room for a very hot shower and then heading out for a night out in Bath. The room including the bedding and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows perfect. I think the mattress may be more comfortable than my own. We were going to get breakfast but it was exceptionally busy at 9am so chose not to. The staff had warned us to be early if we wanted breakfast. We were lucky to get a parking space. A little frustrating to have to pay £17.50 but I do appreciate why (Bath is a small city set in and around a valley). At check in staff explained how to get the discount on the machine in the lobby. The hotel send you a list of alternate parking if you can’t park at the hotel. This was a cracking hotel and did basics of what a hotel should do brilliantly. Will definitely use again if I’m in Bath again.
