King's Cross Express Inn

On arrival. There was no one on reception. Waited about 3 minutes and someone came to greet us. We had arrived 1 hour before check in. I asked reception if the room was ready. They said it was and if I wanted to go in early, then they would charge me £10. I declined and asked if I could leave my cases somewhere safe so I could go out and have a walk round. They said I could leave it in the hallway with the other cases lined up. I declined this because they had been left unattended when I arrived. Someone could have easily walked in off the street and taken a case. We decided to wait the hour until we could get into the room. Whilst we were waiting, my husband asked if there was a toilet he could use, they said there wasn’t only the one in our room which we could not get in until 3pm. The bedroom was the smallest double bedroom I have ever stayed in! The double bed was pushed up against the wall and the length of the room was the size of the bed! When opening the door to enter the room, it caught the corner of the bed. Once in the room, there was not enough space for 2 people to stand up and open the case. We had to store the cases under the bed. The bathroom was very small. When using the toilet, your legs were under the hand basin. The only 2 things I would say which are positive is that the bed was comfortable and the small shower was powerful.

The people at the front desk were nice and friendly. The room was clean but small. I wasn't able to sleep well for a few nights due to the noises outside the hotel. The housekeeping service needs to do a better job in providing amenities because a facial towel and a shower floor mat were not given to us after the cleaned our room for the second time during our stay.

My room was on the lower ground floor (basement) and you could hearthe trains rumbling around.

I really liked the hotel because it was new, clean, modern and close to public transport. The service was very friendly, open-minded and helpful.

Very tiny- no good for big or tall people I would say. But very comfortable, clean and cozy. I’d definitely stay there again. Also very convenient location.

Very small room. But it was clean and comfortable. We did hear door slamming in the hallway occasionally. Would suggest a spring loaded door stopper. Room was booked for 2 nights. Our flight from home cancelled due to faulty machinery. We were unable to make connections to UK as originally scheduled. I did pay extra for cancellation insurance. However, they will not honor it up to 2 days before checkin. We were able to contact them thru Expedia to hold room booked for 2nd night. We lost money on first nights room. Wish proof of flight cancellation would be enough to refund 1st night. Nice staff and place to stay at King's Cross. But they need to review their cancellation policy.

The room is small but has everything. They also offered to put my orange juice in their fridge. Love the shower, adjustable AC, and elevator perfect for heatwave days in the UK. Everyone who works at the reception is helpful and friendly; impeccable customer service.

部屋にエアコンがあったのはよかったです。 ただ、5泊して、清掃は4泊目に1回のみでした。タオルの交換はありましたが、1日は交換もありませんでした。 部屋は狭いですが、立地が良かったです。えき、バス停、スーパーや飲食店も充実していました。

From a comfortable, economical, and efficiency standpoint, this convenient Inn fills the bill! I’d stay here again. Great air conditioning for a hot, sweaty London day and walk to Kings Cross Station!

The room was very small, but I was traveling solo and did not spend much time in the room. TV operation was not normal and was confusing.

Lovely clean room, comfy clean bed, bathroom , a little on the small side but ideal for a 1 night stay. Would book again.

Doesn’t stand out as a hotel from the outside you could and I did just walk by. Such a shame because everything inside and staff I couldn’t fault. More labelling as a hotel needed

I was slightly apprehensive before arrival after reading some negative reviews. However we had a pleasant time at the hotel and have no complaints. Although compact the room was clean, modern and new, and the air con was appreciated . The staff were all lovely and friendly. London hotel rooms are small and I think if you know what to expect you will be less shocked. The hotel was in a great location just 5 mins walk from King’s Cross. I would recommend the hotel and would stay again
