Old Oak Tree

Great stay. Good sized room with everything I could need. clean and warm. Rooms located in building alongside pub so no noise or disturbance. Ate in the pub and found the food to be excellent quality and a very fair price. Very tasty A location I will happily return to

Huge room, friendly staff, extensive pub menu and great food

Lovely room, breakfast amazing

The room was clean and large. There was a desk to work at and a sofa to relax on whilst watching TV. The room was serviced regularly and there was an abundance of tea and coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I only managed breakfast once during my stay due to the time I started work. The breakfast was very good. I opted for the cooked breakfast but there was also cereal. There was a large variety of cooked options. On the days I didn’t have breakfast, I was given a packed lunch in lieu of not having the breakfast. I will definitely stay again when I’m working in the area.

Room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The rooms are directly onto the car park so are easy to carry bags to. The pub was very nice with a reasonable choice of beers and a wide choice of food. Breakfast was very good and served very quickly. The only little niggle was the £10 extra charge for the dog

Had a lovely few days at old oak tree, everyone was so welcoming and the food and accommodation was excellent...would definitely recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

I found the Old Oak Tree team to be very welcoming. The room size was fantastic as was the breakfast. The pub does evening meals and has a great choice of dishes to suit all palates. Whilst booking a table is definitely recommended as the venue is very popular both locally and further afield for their dishes. I can highly recommend the Old Oak Tree, I will certainly be staying there again. The Old Oak Tree is in the perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire.

Quick, enjoyable stay, Very comfortable & excellent service

We had a lovely one night stay and enjoyed our time there. The staff and host were all very welcoming and attentive to our needs. Dinner and breakfast were great and would highly recommend staying and dining. The room was extremely comfortable and warm and had been freshly renovated. We could have easily stayed here longer.

The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. It was clean and well maintained. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and the food on offer was delicious. It’s a very popular pub so advisable to book a table for dinner. Very convenient for exploring North Yorkshire. We would stay again.

Third time we have stayed here which ought to say something. Very convenient for the A1 and the rooms are pleasant, clean and comfortable. As well as that the restaurant serve very good food at reasonable prices, as it was our final night of our holiday in Scotland and we were travelling home it was very welcome. Parking is convenient and close - just outside rooms.

Stayed for one night. Room was very confortable. Also ate at the pub for dinner, absolutely fantastic food which was also as good. Lovely area close to Thirsk, overall couldn’t fault it. Would happily go back.

Spotless and tidy cottage-style room, friendly staff welcoming

This is a lovely place! The room was spacious and clean, the food excellent and cooked to order. I asked to stay an extra night but they were booked up. Not the best location if you’re relying on public transportation.
