Ring O' Bells

The room was clean very neat . the staff helpfull and friendly. The food was realy nice with a good choice and at a good price.

Really had a pleasnt stay. Owners made us feel really welcome.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area I would recommend The Ring O’Bells. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms are clean, comfortable and equipped with the things you need for a stay. Had a good night’s sleep, lovely to wake up feeling refreshed. Rooms are up some metal stairs, no problem for us but be aware if you struggle with steps. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend the Eggs Benedict! I would definitely book here again if I was in the area.

Although we didn't get to meet our hostess, the owner/host and his staff were fantastic. The pub was cosy and clean and extremely reasonably priced and the service was amazing. Very pleasant and friendly people who genuinely cared about making our stay pleasurable. Absolutely recommend and should we find ourselves down that way again, we will most certainly stay here. Thank you.

Beautiful, spacious room with everything you need. Lovely views over fields and down to the quay. Staff were so friendly and very helpful. Went above and beyond to help me with cat woes! The food is excellent and the pub is cosy. Cant wait to stay again.

The twin room was very datdand damp

Ring o Bells made a great base for the section of the Coast Path I was following (Slapton to Noss Mayo). Bed was comfortable, shower was good, free wifi was good, cooked breakfast was excellent (but only from 0830, so no good if you need an early start). Lovely view from the room over Kingsbridge and the estuary. Bus links from West Alvington around the area were good and there are a couple of good supermarkets within a few minutes drive. Room needed a good refurb but as a single man I didn't find that a problem and it didn't affect my stay. Only significant issue was the steep stairs up to the room, not a problem for me, but it might be if you are mobility-impaired.

Budget price, room clean, noisy, compressor below room, steep narrow fire escape stairs to access, no attempt to make the place appealing, totally lacking charm, bought the feel of a motorway service area to a very beautyful part of the country.

I cannot fault my stay here. The staff were exceptional! The room was clean. The food was very good . Probably one of the best pub stays I’ve had. I would highly recommend it.

Visited the area for the wonderful Salcombe Crab Festival. This friendly pub is a convenient 5 miles from Salcombe by bike (up and down some large hills!). Comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast.

Great little spot walkable to Kingsbridge. Staff were excellent, the breakfast included was terrific and it felt like a home. The room is small and basic but it’s all a traveler needs.
