WOW! What a brilliant little place!!! Tucked away on the edge of a pretty little market town, the facilities and attention to detail are flawless! This is the perfect place for a couples getaway! The pub next door serves good food and offers friendly service. We will certainly be making a return visit and would recommend Stables to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic getaway

We had a fantastic anniversary stay at the Stables. The room and bed was very comfortable and the highlight was the Japanese hot tub in the balcony! It was just perfect! We also enjoyed having dinner at the Bowling Green steakhouse and had breakfast brought to our room by room service. We look forward to staying again.

Overall a fantastic stay. However as we are in our sixties and my husband is 6”5’ the hot tub was on the small side! The staff and food were incredible . Thankyou .

Great place to stay, modern room and great food at the pub next door. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Great walks only a few minutes away. Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s. Definitely stay again and highly recommend. B

The Stables is a wonderful place to stay, particularly for access to Alton Towers. The private Japanese hot tub is a brilliant addition to the room, which was bath temperature and ready for use on arrival. The rooms are well furnished and clean. Complimentary soft drinks and fresh milk are a lovely touch thst add to the experience. The adjacent pub the Bowling Green was excellent for dinner, but be mindful it doesn’t open until 9am if you want to have breakfast here. If I am ever back in the area, I will be sure to stay at the Stables again.

A late Valentines night away. We stayed in the superior room which had everything you could ask for. The Bath tub is a must and the spa facilities were perfect to unwind after a freezing cold day! We dinned in the Bowling Green for tea and breakfast. Location is ideal right next door The steaks were lush, and the potato hash for breakfast you need to try! Staff and service was amazing. Will definitely come back again.

A lovely, comfortable hotel. A good location overlooking Ashbourne with plenty of parking in the pub carpark across the road. The bedroom and bathroom were warm and cosy during a very cold night. Complimentary milk, soft drinks and water in refrigerator - a wonderful touch. The breakfast in the adjoining pub was delicious. Will definitely be returning

WOW! We had one night in the junior suite. I booked this with my Tesco Club card vouchers. The first time I’ve used them for a hotel stay & what a place to stay for our first time!!! It was the perfect half way stop home after a busy long Halloween day in Alton Towers. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing after hours of walking and waiting for rides. I cannot rate this place high enough. Everything from the decor to the room service, it is all so well thought & of high standard. Immaculate in cleanliness. The meal from the pub delivered to your door was the icing on the cake for us as we were far too exhausted to start getting ready to go out again. The quality of food was utterly beautiful & the steak was to a standard I’ve not had in some 5* restaurants. Credit to the chef it was exceptional!! Staff were so friendly & welcoming. The outside area around the hot tub was very private & beautiful. The bed was soooooo comfortable! My husband is 6ft 4inch we often find staying away we rarely find a bed that’s both comfortable & big enough…this was both! Such a wonderful stay, already recommended to family & friends. We will certainly be back! Thank you again

A great small hotel hidden away in Ashbourne. Clean rooms, Comfortable beds and a real little bit of genuine luxury. The small basement spa was a great little addition.

Great little hotel. Clean and beautifully furnished room with small balcony and intimate 2-person hot tub. En suite was very nice and the whole suite gave a luxury feel. Room service was very quick. Adjoining pub's food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast.

The stay was amazing, the quality of the room the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness of the whole place was amazing. The food in the pub its connected to was also outstanding as was breakfast. The staff really helpful and friendly and I cant fault it. we booked for easy access to Alton Towers and would defintely both return again and recommend to others. A great find, maybe next time book the top grade rooms so i can use the spa though I didnt look into that properly but that was my failing.

A beautiful property with excellent amenities. The food was equally excellent, and the service was personable and professional. The accommodation had everything you would require and the location was within walking distance of the town. Would highly recommend a visit, as there’s many local sites to visit.

We had a lovely stay at the stables. The room was clean with lovely decor and everything we needed was available and more! The hot tub was lovely and the robes and slippers were a nice touch. We got room service and had breakfast the following morning and the food was delicious. We would absolutely recommend!
