Wonderful location, everything to hand. Being able to park is a plus. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. As for the room, stylish, spacious and comfortable. Lovely walk-in shower

We had a fantastic two-night stay at The George. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely keen to make sure our stay was perfect.
We stayed in Room 2, which was comfortable with a great-sized bed and a lovely view over the harbour. Tea, coffee, fresh water, towels—everything we needed was there and thoughtfully prepared.
Breakfast was included, and the Full English was cooked perfectly. There was also fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and orange juice, which made for a great start to the day.
The bar in the evening had a brilliant atmosphere, with a mix of locals and tourists that made it feel really welcoming.
A special thank you to the host—you made us feel so at home. We’d definitely recommend The George and would happily stay again.

The George is ideally located in the center of town near to a bus stop. Everything about our stay was wonderful; a large en-suite room beautifully decorated with large bathroom. We ate dinner at the George day of arrival which was delicious and breakfast was fabulous. I highly recommend the George.

We hadn't realised we'd booked something in West Bay, we thought we'd booked in Bridport, but the people in West bay were absolutely lovely and so friendly, and we found a great place to eat, so we were absolutely delighted with our little mini break. Thank you to all staff at the George pub, you were all fabulous and smiley and welcoming. We would recommend this place highly.

Vi var heldig og fikk en nydelig utsikt over West Bay. Stille og rolig på natten, men vær obs på at det er mye måker her som skriker fra kl 05 om morgenen.
Måltidene var gode, og porsjonene var enorme.
Egen parkering i bakgården er ett stort pluss for her er det mye folk og biler på dagtid.

What a fabulous place!! The superb staff, wonderful food, great ales, good parking, beautifully maintained room and excellent location made our stay an amazing experience. From the first moment we arrived, every detail was taken care of..... including an intial taster of the fine local brewers "Palmers" ale.
The room, although compact, was really comfortable, though the bathroom was roomy and towels plentiful. The restaurant food was fabulous, with the Lambs Liver and Steak and Ale pie being very popular. The location, near to the bus stop and the harbour, was ideal for easg access to the beautiful Wsst bay, with stunning views of the Jurassic coastline cliffs.
A fabulous hotel, we'll definitely return.

Lovely and pleasant place to stay for 3 nights. Nice staff, friendly and helpful. Room is great, sea view, clean and replenish everyday. Food in the George is very very good, plentiful too. Will go back when we are in Bridport again.

From the moment we arrived we were given such a warm welcome. Room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Lovely bathroom, fluffy towels. Plenty tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Best breakfast ever. Loved it and will definitely return.

Our Christmas getaway was perfect. The team were exceptionally helpful and friendly. No ask was too much trouble.
Breakfast was epic and relaxed. Dinner was superb, fantastic simply cooked pub favourites and a couple of alternative choices for those wanting something a bit different!
The lunch lite bites ideal as was still full from breakfast but enough to keep us going after walks and catching up! Something for everyone. Hope to be back soon.

Overall we felt for what we paid for our two night stay we expected more. We were in room 4, billed as a premium double, which is directly above the pub lounge so very noisy. Anyone with a hearty appetite might be satisfied with the menu as the meals are plentiful but we found the food lacking in quality. The whole building would benefit from a deep clean and I would suggest the carpets be replaced or even removed.
