The Riverside

What lovely location. We were lucky enough to get a room with a beautiful ciew of the meadows and the cathedral which was stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful. I'd like to use this hotel more often.

We found The Riverside a charming stay in Salisbury, and very walkable to town on a perfectly gorgeous walking path. The easy breakfast, and view of the Cathedral were enchanting.

Shuttle service too and from town to restaurants was a fantastic service .

A lovely hotel, with tasteful, comfortable rooms in beautiful grounds. The staff are also very pleasant. I would love to stay here again

Lovely little hotel in a beautiful part of England. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel and staff were amazing. The only fault was that the walls for the room were really thin and we were stuck next to a family with a child who was very chatty and made it very clear she didn't want to go to bed when she was induced to do so.

I slept terribly. The pillows were flat and hard, the mattress was uncomfortable and I felt the springs on my back. Why have a winter weight duvet on the bed in August! The air con was directly above the bed, so far to cold to sleep with it on. Bathroom was quite small (room 4). The breakfast was lovely, easy parking and a nice quiet location. I wont be returning as slept so poorly.

Bon endroit

We stayed in a riverside room which had access to the garden. This was lovely as you could walk to the river at the bottom of the garden. Unfortunately there are only curtain at the window which means that anyone walking past could see in. I think it would be good to put net curtains up to allow you to keep main curtains open without people seeing in. The room was very nice, plenty of space for clothes. We did not have breakfast and due to not having a restaurant, the free transport into town is a great idea, although it is close enough to walk. The driver gave us great recommendations for where to eat too. If I have a couple of niggles. There are no shelves in the bathroom, to put toiletries on and a handle in the bath would be helpful when getting in and out of the shower. The free shower gel/hand wash was lovely. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed a king bed room with a view of the back garden. The breakfast buffet is quite good (fresh, hot scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potato crisp) and french press coffee is served at your table. There is no dinner service. The bar offers bags of chips, and you can sit outside on the terrace or walk out to the river gazebo. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Bathroom lacked any storage space for essentials. Otherwise room, modest sized but well equipped with stunning view.

The Riverside is inderdaad bij the Riverside en de tuin is schitterend. Fijn personeel. Grote kamer. Groot en comfortabel bed. Airco. Alles kraakproper. Gratis shuttle naar de stad. Maar ook veel vragen rond een kamer van €200/nacht: - het bad is veel te smal om veilig een douche in te nemen. Met normale schoenmaat 10 kan je amper draaien en het bad was zeer "slippy". 1 kleine douchekop maar. Badkamer is very basic voor deze prijs. - de ramen konden niet geopend worden. Personeel heeft er 1 kunnen open forceren. - waarom ons de straatkant geven als het hotel bijlange niet vol was? - zero snacks verkrijgbaar (behalve chips) in de bar maar ze konden wel fish & chips maken voor 50 mensen (dag 1) en een volledig Dinner voor een grote familie (dag 2)? - Salisburry zelf ontgoochelt versus ander steden zoals Winchester of Bath. Veel leegstand. 4 zaken op de markt maar.

Amazing, beautiful hotel, all staff very pleasant and extremely helpful, room very spacious, clean and bright, breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice, will definitely be back next time visiting family.
