Mark was friendly and accommodating … excellent stay bed was so comfy slept like a baby !
Only making people aware that if mobility is an issue , I can be difficult . But fantastic stay and will definitely book again if in the area ! Lovely little village with a stunning breakfast around then corner at The cricklade club !

We had a fantastic time this weekend! All the staff were warm and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very warm, with a lovely shower and comfy bed.
The food was absolutely delicious! Over the course of the weekend we ate in both restaurants. Both restaurants were top notch!
Thank you very much for having us, we will be back.

Loved my stay here. Staff were very friendly and very welcoming to both my dog and I. Great experience, lovely area and hope to visit again soon.

It was easy to book and checking in was easy once I found the right phone number. I had many emails confirming booking and one of the phone numbers listed took me to an irate gentleman who had not been involved with the hotel for 2 years. Need to check that all numbers are valid.
The room was very nicely furnished and presented but the blind was impossible to raise so no natural daylight available.
I cant comment on the catering as none was available over Christmas and this was made clear at the time of booking, so all fine.

We had a fantastic time this weekend! All the staff were warm and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very warm, with a lovely shower and comfy bed.
The food was absolutely delicious! Over the course of the weekend we ate in both restaurants. Both restaurants were top notch!
Thank you very much for having us, we will be back.

very friendly and pleasant staff. Nice little hotel for a one night stop. Unfortunately breakfast is not provided and the Cafe in the village/town I was told I could use has closed down. breakfast was a cold sandwich from Tesco. Not the best start to the day.

Stayed in a small single room but had all the basic necessities including a shower/wc. Room was very warm and unable to turn temperature down on radiator but opening window solved that.

Made to feel very welcome from everyone there, they also made our dog feel extremely Welcome. Enjoyed a few drinks on the evening with the locals our room was clean and tidy, excellent value for money our only regret was we wasn’t staying for longer. If we were to stay in the area again we would definitely stop in the Vale Hotel

The service here is exceptional, definitely an 6 stars, which adds to the properties charm, we particularly liked the roof top terrace where we enjoyed two of the amazing gins on offer. Our room was airy, bright and nicely decorated with lovely shower too. The good here is amazing too, with really interesting options so much so we were struggling to decide, always good. It is a 18th century property though so floors are not flat and stairs as they were proactive in advising before we got here, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Can highly recommend and would certainly book again.

As a solo female traveller I found the Vale Hotel to be perfect for my needs. I had a lovely, comfortable, spotlessly clean room in a quiet part of the hotel.
I felt totally safe as the security was impressive and the host made me feel extremely welcome. There is a lovely outside area to enjoy a drink from the Gin Bar and a delicious choice of food.
The host was very knowledgeable about the area.
A most enjoyable stay - thank you.

Located in the High Street, which is convenient, and we were not troubled by noise at all.
The greeting and service from Mark could not have been friendlier, and the locals in the bar were very affable.
A fascinating, quirky building which is being upgraded and improved - the rooftop sun terrace is very pleasant.
No hotel car park but street parking outside & a public car park are free.
We ate at the excellent Kenyan/Fusion Restaurant and wished we were staying longer to sample more dishes. The Thai Restaurant at the back was full of apparently happy customers.
We would happily stay here again.
