Room was a standard room, not a Dulex suite as I paid, Bed bugs on bed, mould fridge, Rusty Kettle. unhygienic .

We booked the oceanview room in front, room 2, with floor to ceiling windows, with a balcony that runs the width of the building. The balcony is open to all guests, therefore there is no privacy in the room. You can’t enjoy the great ocean view with guests sitting in front of your room's window, talking, smoking, and partying until 2am. We had to leave the curtains closed the entire 2 day stay. The constant chatter in the hallway was a bit much, so no, the room was not soundproof. The amenities were frugal, with one towel. We purchased an extra towel, shampoo and soap at a local shop. No TV, no ceiling fan, but the AC worked great and the mini fridge was convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in early with no problem. It was very kind, and very much appreciated. The location is great. Walkable, close to everthing in Savusavu.

The room Had leaks in the roof all over the place you got dripped on in bed

check-in was smooth, but if you ask for activities you don't really get a proper answer or any help at all... great location, everything in walking distance, good and cheap restaurant next doors.. definitely not the cleanest, but if you don't mind it too much it's ok. BUT: might have had bed bugs & got a new room immediately, but I don't know if they actually did something about the problem & was still unsure if the new room would be any better (it luckily was)..

People smoking in hotel corridor with smoke filtering into the room. Too noisy with people banging doors and can hear noise from nightclub nearby.

The staff was great. It was nice overall. The TV did not have reception and the fan did not work.

The lodge owner and staffs are very friendly and very helpful during my stay.

Very rundown hotel by European standard. But very good WiFi

Some rooms have problems such as the sink faucet being removed or the water heater switch being broken. This is inevitable due to deterioration over time, but it is inconvenient. However, there are restaurants, a supermarket, the immigration office, etc. next door, so the location is convenient.

This property overall is a 1/5. Firstly, its unclear what room youre booking. Based on the images, you think you're booking the room with the view of the bay. Well, your not. Only 2 rooms have the view of the bay. This is misleading marketing and not at all ok. Apparently, many people complain about the same thing and theyve never felt the need to change it, making it clear that its intentional. Secodnly, the rooms arent very clean. Stains on the floor, walls and on bedding. Cheap bedding, cheap everything and styless. The covers on the chairs are grossly dirty and overall just yuck! Speaking of cheap....they give you plastic spoons LOL. So bad. Ah cheap again...your rubbish bin is a bucket. Never will i book this place again and highly recommend people stay clear from it.

The beds are clean and no problem. The air conditioner is comfortable but doesn't come with a remote control, staff had to search for it and bring it for room. There was tea and coffee in the room but no kettle. The hot shower worked well enough. There were no windows in the room, but the shared balcony offered a nice view of the harber. 5mins walk from the bus stand. Supermarket and restaurants are located next door. The hot spring is a 3mins walk away.

Property was okay, but the whole building is very old and disheveled looking. Had to ask for another towel/glass. Also not enough tea/'coffee sachets provided. Very handy to town, and walkable to most places.

This place is as run down on the interior as it is on the exterior. A drab, dirty room with sub standard facilities and the most uncomfortable bed of our Fiji trip so far. This place is not tired or dated it's way below the standard of similarly priced properties we've stayed in on this trip. It is cheap for a reason. I wouldn't stay here again regardless of the price.

Convenient to everything

STAY AWAY! worst place I have ever been to. Everything on the website is a lie. Doors won't lock and the "balcony" is not private so anyone can walk on your room. The bed is like sleeping on a box spring without a matress and we got 1 towel to share. Extra towel was $5. I don't have enough characters to list eveything that was wrong... but lets say we left after 1 day of a 2 night non-refundable stay.

The air con didn’t work but the views over the bay were nice and it was walking distance to all necessities. The Planters Club was a real find and a short walk away

Owner ripped me off. charged for the ocean view room but put me in a small boxed room with no windows. If I don't get some kind of refund I will never use Hotels.com again.

Check-In: Prompt, in the correct room, right away, much earlier than the regular check-in time posted. Host and Hostess: Mr. Mukesh and his wife are excellent hosts! They are easily available if you have a request! Both are polite, gentle, humble! They own this 12 room hotel. Room: Quite, large. With fan, AC, medium size fridge, medium size TV. Bathroom was clean, hot, and cold water and it worked fine! Toiletries provided. Coffee, tea, creamer. View from the several roof to floor large windows of the bay, Nami island. Excellent in the delux room number 2. Bed: Comfortable. Clean. Kitchen: Allows making meals. Location: Totally near: Savusavu market, Pearls shop, Resturants next door Liquor shop Barbers shop Seafood shop. Hosts are generous and kind people! Whole family is excellent! Wifi was good strength. They even provided a hot spot for me! Fresh fish daily in the market! Excellent shops nearby! The magic happened for me several times. I was extra nice to them: One day they provided me okra with rice my favorite meal. Remember, I was extra nice to the staff, host family! Yes, the place us quite! There is a night guard! Near bys and taxi stands! Walkable to everything! A medical center around the corner! Totally convenient! Parking is free! I thoroughly loved my stay! I plan to come again! This is my second stay at the Bay View Barbers lodge. For my extra nice style, Mukesh dropped me at the Savusavu Airport and went on a boat trip.

The room was big and clean however check in was terrible had to look for staff to check in.Had to ask for staff for towel and toilet paper.There was no water in shower owner had to come and fix it.Overrall it was below average
