Hotel Bulabard

As a family of 4, we had a terrible stay and would definitely not stay again. Were unsure if staying in main hotel or apartment when booking, but thought it was hotel when making booking although the booking site was not at all clear which is a shame. On arrival after a late flight, arriving around 9.15pm with young children were taken to apartments 2 blocks from hotel. The next door apartment (part of Bulabard apartments) had a party to 3am with loud music and partying outside our room. we told security & rang reception twice (which is not a cheap exercise as we’re on roaming charges due to just arriving, no phone in rooms & reception at main hotel around 10min walk away in a place we had just arrived in the dark to so had no idea where to walk, apartment is completely separated) but the noise continued meaning very minimal/no sleep. The beds were very old, squeaky, dirty and the door to bathroom was broken/did not work properly so could not be shut. Shower was cold only in the morning after almost no sleep for the entire family which was another terrible experience. Kids wanted a swim but hopped in pool at apartment and it was freezing/then shower was cold so unable to warm up. When checking out reception just said ‘sorry’ and will let maintenance know about shower. No offer of anything due to our terrible stay and no functioning shower. Worst place we have stayed in anywhere we have travelled & definitely not recommended, so many better options we have used in Fiji

There were multiple baby roaches in my bathroom and they continued to come. I saw about ten in a two night stay. Needs extermination badly.

The porters were very friendly and helpful, also the front desk girls were very welcoming

I booked and pre-paid a standard room at Hotel Bulabard in July. I arrived to be told I have been "upgraded" to an apartment off the property and a staff member would drive me there. I said I did not want the upgrade as I wanted to be on the property for the hotel amenities. I was told my room I booked was not available. I was driven 5 minutes away to a very simply property with a pool that was not in use. I was taken to my "apartment" which was just a room with a bed, a sink and bench in it (no kitchenette facilities to justify the 'apartment' label). The light in the main room did not work, only the bathroom. When I turned the bathroom light on there were cockroaches crawling up the curtains in the main room. I asked for a light bulb to be brought which was not possible. I called the hotel reception to explain what was going on. I was then taken to a different room on this offsite premises. This had light but no curtains, not hot water, and the door was not lockable. I called the hotel again and they were 'unable to do anything'. As I was alone in an unknown area with no knowedge of hotels nearby I stayed in this room but did not sleep. I demanded repayment the next day of my accommodation fee. Hotel Bulabard said they would approve this but I had to go through WOTIF. I emailed WOTIF numerous times and have not received any reply. I will never book with WOTIF again due to their inability to follow up issues.

Location is excellent , food is just delicious. Staffs are very nice. Property needs some upgrading.

Loved the area, big apartment to accommodate my family and I. Loved how spacious it was, very clean tidy. Would definitely be booking here again in the future.

Upon arrival, we were informed that the room we had booked via Expedia was unavailable and that we would be moved to alternative accommodation. This was located just around the corner, accessible via a short drive in the property’s transport. Instead of the ‘deluxe queen bedroom’ we had reserved, we were given a studio apartment. The standard of the accommodation was rather average; the room was in need of refurbishment and felt a little rough around the edges. Clean sheets ensured a satisfactory night’s rest. We had chosen this property primarily for its cost, so we were not expecting luxury, but as we were not given the room we had booked, we would not choose to stay here again.

The picture of the hotel room looks nothing like what we book. There was cockroaches in the bathroom and it was noisy as we were located opposite the kitchen. At 5.30am when staff come in to work, they were talking in the corridor and it was not sound proof.

A lovely start to our Fiji holiday. A couple of nights at the BulaBard with amazing ocean views over the pool and outside dining was divine. (Unfortunately the pool was closed as it needed a really good clean, that was disappointing!) Great eating options all along the beach, a handy supermarket for little things and just a great introduction the the Fiji vibe. It is a bit rundown and could do with a makeover, but it was clean and comfortable for the price we paid.

Staff is fantastic and went out of their way to make perfect every aspect of our stay.

Amazing view of the beach. My sister and I fell in love with Wailoaloa Beach. There’s no seaweed, great shells, and a great natural palm tree grove nearby. We stayed a week and loved the place. The staff were super nice and the resort was great. The sunset view from the beach can’t be beat. The staff helped us arrange every trip we made, and the food and drinks were all safe. You can freely travel to the nearby hotels, so you can watch a show or two every night. We had the closest room to the beach and back patio and were able to sleep soundly despite the partying. We were in the room opposite the kitchen and were even able to sleep through that most nights. They definitely ensured that my sister and I’s vacation which we had been dreaming since we were kids was a dream come true. 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We weren't met at the airport despite having arranged a pick up from the Hotel so we caught a taxi (that turned out to be cheaper anyway). The room was an odd configuration of 4 king size beds and two small ensuites with a shower and toilet each back to back. The toilets didn't smell good. It was a noisy area not improved by loud music from the restaurant that went on until 11pm each night. When the music went off the staff continued to party. And then when all the human sounds had stopped the air-conditioning units for every room were located on the wall outside our room and hummed loudly all night. Luckily we had ear plugs. We weren't given enough towels or a bathmat or hand towels and had to request these. There was lots of space in the room but nowhere to hang anything (like towels). Even the wardrobe didn't even have a bar, let alone any hangers! It was a room with things you didn't really need and missing some of the standard things you would expect. Our room was FJD 500 per night which seemed like a lot for what it was. Restaurant was also pricey and basic so we ate elsewhere. The people were lovely though! :-)

Location was good, was close to shops, cycle hire, restaurants and good to transport routes. Accomodation had issues though. We only got hot water 2 of 9 days; apartment was not serviced when requested a few times; pool pump and other guests disturbed sleep; tv was only functional on youtube.
