Holiday Inn FRANKFURT - ALTE OPER by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Excellent hotel, comfortable bed. Great location for us, we needed a hotel near the train station. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Pros- friendly front desk staff, clean room, stocked mini bar, toiletries provided and really good breakfast buffet. Only con would be it's located close to a pretty sketchy area like a red light district in one direction so not sure about walking around at night. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Nice place, but it's directly next to a red light district. Walking to or around the hotel felt very unsafe until you were a street or two away

Abgesehen das in der Nacht die Türen von anderen Gästen geknallt wurden und ein anderes Zimmer unser Zimmer angerufen hat weil die dachte wir sind die Rezeption. Alles wunderbar

Unterkunft ist sauber, Personal ist sehr freundlich. Leider wird ohne Rückfrage bei einem 4,5 Sterne Hotel nur alle zwei Tage gereinigt. Weder Geschirr abgeräumt noch Betten gemacht. Handtücher bleiben auf dem Boden liegen. Reklamation wird nur eingeschränkt bearbeitet.

The room was clean and cozy. I wish the room had the usb outlet.

Gerne wieder

Wir waren schon mehrmals im Holiday Inn Alte Oper. Wir waren auch dieses Mal wieder sehr zufrieden. Schönes Zimmer, freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück.

Whilst the hotel was well maintained and staff friendly, the hotel is situated in the heart of the red light district. It felt unsafe to walk in th nearby streets at any time as there were lots of

The plus; nice staff and good breakfast The Bad going from the central station, my son and I walked the 600 meter to the hotel. We walked thou the taunusstrasse, where people was drug-affected, prostitutes and a overall feeling of danger. 3 strips clubs are within 200 meter of the hotel. One Lady was injecting something while we passed to the 50 meters of the hotel. We ran to the hotel, in a state of chok and checked in. We was provided the room 242 with a view of the small square. from our 2' floor we could see prostitutes the square browsing for clients and a drug dealer who sat by one of the thee' and had "setup business" during the evening. We had arrived Thursday at 17, we had booked two nights in two reservations - at 20.00 I wend down the reception to cancel the 2'th as we just want to get away this areal. I was very suppressed that even I canceled ahead, the app only would provide me 15% return - THAT IS ALMOST A BIG THEFT. Never the less, we hardly sleep during the night and left the hotels as soon as it was noon (we didn't dare to leave before) _ STAY AWAY IF YOU HAS FAMILY !

It was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a good location and the staff is very attentive and polite.
