We enjoyed this property for our 2 night stay. The rental unit looks brand new and is furnished very well. It was probably the largest and nicest rental units we stayed in for our entire two week trip. It was nice to have the space!
The only downside to this property is that it was out in the country, away from everything. So grab what you need before retiring for the evening. We were slightly disappointed that our cabin rental was in the middle of the other rentals, so we really didn’t have a nice scenic view. Our windows faced the other cabins and felt we needed to keep the curtains drawn. Too bad the cabins couldn’t be arranged to not look right into the other cabins.

Great place, very comfortable. About 20 min away from any town on a partially gravel road but very calm and beautiful surroundings. Would book again and recommend to others.

Pros: Property was in a quiet, beautiful area with easy car access.
Cons: There was no in-unit fan or air cooling system. As a result people open the windows to let in cool air. We did not open the windows when we stayed due to the number of bugs outside, so it was incredibly warm and difficult to sleep comfortably. Despite our best efforts, there were 4-5 spiders in the sleeping area and several flies.

No complaints! This cabin is a great spot for viewing the Aurora and is very close to the Highlands. If your going to stay here, keep in mind the nearest place to buy food is about 30 min, but this cabin has a small kitchen and coffee maker. We loved our time in the cabin.

Afternoon Cottages is somewhere you stay if you need solitude but in fact its only a 25 minute drive to the main ring road once you have navigated your way for 10 minutes on a F Road ( 4 x 4 required here)
Very clean and compact with fridge, microwave and hob. Never worked out why properties of this nature do not have a 'cooker' of any kind?
Water pressure for shower is very good for somewhere so remote. Could have done with a extra pillow or more towels but I guess if requested they could be supplied. Communication with owner good

The cottage was beautiful, clean, cozy, and modern. It seemed brand new and everything you could need was provided (including a container of freshly ground coffee). We loved being able to cook our own meals and be surrounded by the nature. The owners were very responsive to questions. Forgot our passports and they were generous enough to hold on to them for a day until we could retrieve them. We truly enjoyed our stay here - thanks so much!

Brilliant stay for serenity, if you want some peace, this is the place for you, it was clean, self sufficient, simple and the owner was very accessible if you needed anything. There was a LOT of wind noise, so can be a little spooky, and make sure you are prepared with anything you may need from the shops as the closest anything is 28 Kms away but I would recommend this place to everyone, at least give it 1 night minimum

I don’t leave many reviews but felt that this place was worth the time. Very clean, very spacious, fully equipped, and beautiful landscape right in your back yard. The drive is a bit rough to get there but if you have the right vehicle it is well worth it!!! My wife and I will be back to Iceland and will definitely stay here again!

Die Ankunft und Abreise ist denkbar einfach, man bekommt einen Code bei der Buchung und kann damit das Apartment aufsperren und bei Abreise sperrt man einfach ab. Man kann so spät kommen wie man will, es gibt keine Besetzungszeiten der Rezeption, was ich gerade im Mittsommer als sehr angenehm empfinde. Es war unglaublich sauber, die Küche mit ausreichend Tellern, Schüsseln, Töpfen und Pfannen ausgestattet. Salz, Pfeffer, Öl - alles da. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Youtube...Komfortabel auch für 2 Personen. Der Preis entsprach ungefähr dem was ich in einem Hotel in Akureyri auch gezahlt hatte, bei Belegung mit 2 Personen daher ok.
