Baldursbrá Guesthouse

This property is well located, and clean. If you are a young traveller who does not mind being up all night. This is clearly a party house, hot tub was used till the very early morning. There is a kettle in your room but no cups or spoons. There was no key in the door when we arrived so we had to leave our stuff in an unlocked room or miss our excursions. When we reported this the staff they were reluctant to tell us when it would be resolved and we had to chase three more times to get and locate the key. I have to say Iceland is so beautiful that this did not dampen our spirits but the other noisy thoughtless guests meant no sleep really for four nights.

Very close to city centre and bus station

Good accommodation, without excessive luxury, you feel immediately at home.

Good place to stay. Clean. Only sadness that hot tub was really cold at the start of use time so got out fast.

Very nice spot and very walkable to all attractions within the city.

In the end the room we ended up with was fine. Thought we were getting a shared bathroom accommodation but ended up with the entire 1st floor apartment. Though that wasn't clearly communicated right away. Biggest drawback is the proximity to the street. The windows are paper thin and we could hear everyone walk past them in the night.

Great location close to the downtown. It was hard to find a parking spot. Room was clean and a good size.

This property made my dream come true. I was asked if I wanted to receive calls for northern lights, and the staff called every guest like me. Additionally, the breakfast was excellent, hot tub and sonar rooms etc were also great. It was definitely the top one hotel in my entire journey!!!

The garden area can be more organized

Arrivée tardive … heureusement un autre voyageur nous a aiguillé pour trouver la chambre sinon on restait dehors sinon ce petit désagrément … la localisation est top, la chambre hyper calme et spacieuse … une sdd avec wc partagée mais très propre et avec tout confort … le spa annoncé était fermé et sans vraiment d’indications pour s’en servir … c’est plutôt l’annonce qui était un peu éloignée de la réalité mais la chambre était top et bien située

Staff were accommodating; door code not included with check-in information and keypad hard to locate initially; close to BSI Terminal, domestic airport and Kronan grocery store; quiet street but periodic flight noise; large room with mini-fridge and kettle (no kitchen); windows that open and close; room was clean but bathrooms less so; no site staff to manage other guests coming in confused or loud and late

Très bien mais il nous manquait le code d’entrée qui est venu très tard. Simple et efficace comme hébergement et bien localisé.

A convenient no frills guesthouse in an awesome neighborhood close to everything. Pricey for a sparse room with a shared bath and no concierge. Our room was clean but smelled a bit like a smoker had been there

We booked a room for three people. The website said it is a room with 1 queen bad and 1 twin bed. We first received an email saying our room is #6 on the second floor, then we received another email later saying our room is #3 which is on the first floor. There is only one queen bed. We have to drag out a floor mat from a dirty stock room and let our son sleep on it. In addition, there is no napkins nor tissues provided in the room. Better bring your own if you choose to stay here.

We appreciated the proximity to downtown Reykjavík and the free parking nearby.

The property was convenient to the transportation options, it was close to the downtown area and other sightseeing areas. The only issue we had was not being able to get into the property because we didn’t have the code for the door. We had to call the number, and the gentleman gave us the code over the phone.
