Arma Hostel Mumbai

the place has an amazing global and youthful vibe. it is essentially a backpackers paradise. it is good for a short work-oriented budget stay where you have to just spend a night for sleep. Located very conveniently in Kherwadi area near New IES school. Two-and fro sharing rickshaws are available for Bandra station and BKC. One can even walk 2Kms to reach BKC via the backroad passing through ONGC officers colony. it is a no frills ac-bunk bed with two storage spaces that can be locked upon paying a refundable key deposit. The staff didnt provide a towel so i guess the toiletries services are extra. Shower has limited hot water, provided you are first to take a shower. Shower and toilet area is kept reasonably clean with non spill matting. Mosquito menace is there in night time All in all it is a strictly solo type of a place to be in. Pocket friendly place that does its job.

Seul point positif: le lit relativement spacieux. Par contre tout le reste est négatif. L'accueil et le personnel tout d'abord. Je suis arrivé le soir après 20 heures de voyage en train. Je dois attendre 30 minutes à la réception car ma réservation est introuvable. On ne me salue même pas à mon arrivée. Ils veulent me faire payer alors que j'ai déjà régler les deux nuits. Plus tard dans la soirée je surprends deux membres du personnel en train de photographier mon lit et mon sac ce qui me met passablement en colère. Le lendemain on vient frapper furieusement à la porte de la douche et je suis obligé de m'énerver une nouvelle fois pour leur faire comprendre de me laisser un peu d'intimité et de tranquillité. Le second matin pour finir on vient quasiment me réveiller pour me demander si je quitte ce jour, alors que je peux garder la chambre jusqu'à 12:00! L'auberge se trouve au milieu d'un chantier, difficilement repérable. Le quartier n'est pas intéressant. L'environnement est bruyant, d'accord on est en pleine ville mais puant à souhait. Même pour l'Inde, l'endroit est difficilement respirable. L'espace salle de bain est crasseux, le sol est sale est inondé. La partie commune selon photo est petite et non climatisée. Le Wifi ne marche pas toujours bien. Possibilité de manger sur place mais il faut s'annoncer en avance. Je n'ai pas testé. L'hygiène est insuffisante, il y avait même un rat dans la chambre. Pour tout ça je trouve le prix beaucoup trop élevé pour ce que c'est.

My driver stayed for night stay while I was in Mumbai for wedding function.

I was there for just one night stay. The Hostel was good and clean. Only one this bothered was I kept my luggage in the drawers available as a lockers near beds but rats had bitten by bag and has it has holes now. The best thing I liked was Cartoonist Mario Miranda's paintings. This was a good to remember him after this passing for about a year back. I made reservation through hotels.com but because of change in plan one day trip was cancelled but because of cancellation restriction didn't got one day money back. There is a Craftbar Restaurant nearby which was good ambiance and live performance of band, good international travelers.
