Carnival Palace Hotel

We like the newness and cleanliness of rooms. Front desk were confused with reservation since we came with tour group but extended 2 more days in our own. We got locked out of our room and confusion with waitress at breakfast and said we had only 1 person. Manager straightened it out but very rude

Excellent stay at Carnival Palace Hotel. The service was outstanding — the team is very attentive, professional, and genuinely flexible in accommodating requests, which made a real difference. The room was comfortable and well maintained, and the location in Cannaregio is perfect: quiet, yet very convenient to reach the main areas. Overall, a smooth and high-quality experience. I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

We spent four nights in a double room with breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and exactly as we would have expected for this hotel. Breakfast was quite good but as a small hotel lacked some of the breadth of options that might be found in larger establishments. The extra charging for egg orders was a shame. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The best thing about the hotel is its excellent location. It is situated on side of the canal in Cannaregio, close to three stops (Tre Archi, Crea, Guglie) that give access to the wonderful vaporetto boats and the Alilaguna to and from the airport. We actually chose to arrive by shared water taxi which delivered us to the Tre Archi stop right outside the hotel. Cannaregio is a great area to stay as it is much quieter than most of the city which remains within easy reach on foot or by boat. The quiet canals to the north of the hotel and the Jewish Ghetto area are a great place for a stroll. If we come back to Venice we almost certainly stay here again.

Mixed review on this occasion (this was a return visit). We did have issues with rooms offered, the first was absolutely boiling due to bathroom radiator being on at full blast, so we spent some hours on room changes, first offered was supposedly unoccupied but in fact we disturbed a couple 'relaxing', the second was freezing and with a continuous ventilator noise. This small suite had an outside terrace with Jacuzzi and table, the Jacuzzi tap fell off in my hand. Finally we were offered a suite (after the stuck on air conditioning was fixed) which was very nice and comfortable. Other American guests also seemed to be having room temperature issues. We would like to thank reception staff, in particular Tony, who went out of his way to help with the room change, and also the friendly bar man while we were having a complementary drink during room changes.

Well located for the train station and sights of Venice and restaurants and shops. Generally pleasant stay in a nice room on the top floor. Good breakfast. Slightly marred visit by 23:30 phone call from reception waking us up, demanding wife's passport to hand on to police apparently. We did book a return visit so happy with the stay, see my other review for the return visit.

Small but nice room. Bed not comfortable so ask for mattress cover. We had breakfast and it was good but the staff was not quick in providing coffee. Sélection was good. Neighbourhood was fantastic and away from major tourist but still close. 10 minute from the train station. Restaurants in the neighborhood some of the best we are at in Venice.

an immense thank you to Francois at the front desk, a true wealth of knowledge and a great young man. The tub on the patio in our room made for some nice relaxing moments. The cafés nearby were all wonderful especially take time to go to Bistrot Al Balcon and say hello to Murad

If you are looking for a very nice, well air conditioned, lovely breakfast, and away from the business of St. Mark’s Square, this is the place for you. We walked from the train station. It is nice to stay further away from the action so you can experience more of the beautiful city. We strolled along the paths and found all sorts of delightful places to eat and visit. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location. Clean hotel and excellent decor. Breakfast had a lot of options and nice sit down area.

Great location, welcoming staff, clean and fresh property and we got the upgraded executive suite which was great with awesome view of the canal.

We had a really lovely stay at Carnival Palace Hotel, which we booked as a family to celebrate my birthday and Mother’s Day (UK). The hotel is quite modern and very clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive, and always happy to help, which made a big difference to our experience. Our suite was extremely comfortable, featuring a spacious super king bed and single sofa beds for the boys in an adjacent room that made it easy to relax after long days exploring the city. A real highlight of our stay was the private terrace with a hot tub — such a special touch, and as far as we know, the only room in the hotel offering this, which made it feel even more unique and worth booking. The location is slightly away from the main tourist areas, around a 10–15 minute walk, but we actually found this to be a big advantage. It’s wonderfully quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep, yet still close enough to easily reach all the main attractions. As soon as you step outside, there are plenty of fantastic local restaurants and bars within walking distance Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of continental options, including delicious fresh croissants and local cakes — definitely something to look forward to each morning. There were a few small details that could use a bit of attention, but nothing major that affected our stay. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay in Venice.
