Hotel Leon d'Oro

I booked this hotel for a short weekend stay. I initially booked it because it was affordable, close to the centre and the train station. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the hotel was. The staff were also very kind and informative x

This is the second time in this hotel and I like its location and service. Staff is very helpful and attentive.

Was only here for 1 night lovely room with very comfy bed plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff we're very helpful. Hotel is located about 15 minute walk to city centre

Environnement industriel bruyant et vue moche, accès piéton sale et étroit au bord d'une une grande route polluée et via un passage sous voie avec graffitis et urine. Douche avec système compliqué et pas confortable. Lits trop étroits. Couloirs surchauffés. Petit-déjeuner varié et bon avec personnel gentil mais au second sous-sol, sans vue avec rideaux blancs pour masquer l'extérieur moche. Accueil réception un peu froid, ne met pas à l'aise.

Wanted a base near the train station which is a little over 5mins walk. Read some reviews saying rooms were dated but ours was in good condition. Like the impressive reception and bar area. Good breakfast choices - scrambled egg, sausages and (wafer thin) bacon along what usual meats, cheeses and bread. Gym was adequate for a hotel with what seemed fairly new equipment. Staff we seen were friendly.

Awesome hotel right in the heart of Verona that is walkable to both the train and the historic city center. Room was very clean and great customer service! We would come back here again.

Do Not Stay at this Hotel ! I stay over 40 plus nights a year in hotels in different parts of the world. I try and keep an open mind… after travelling all day on business I arrived and the plan was to get a quick Power Nap before into the city. After 2 hours I checked out and moved to another hotel. Why you may ask… after being bitten by bed bugs, dead bugs on the floor and a shower/bathtub with stains and cracks, enough is enough. When I went down to reception with my bags and told the desk manager I was leaving and why, I was basically told to prove it. I had photos to show and bites on my leg. In all the decades I have travelled, I have never experience such a dump of a hotel and arrogant staff. The hotel I moved to was one thousand percent better.

Internet connection is non existing, when I asked for internet help to check in for my flight, may be business center (they have conventions there), I offered to pay for better connection, answer was - cant help, keep trying to connect!!! Awful! Rooms are from 80 s, shower flooded twice, water is not draining, would never go back there! Breakfast was great.

The manager, Daniela, displayed unprofessional and discourteous behavior during our stay, which was far from the level of service expected at a four-star hotel. Our checkout time was scheduled for 11:00 AM, and after leaving for breakfast around 9:00 AM, we returned to our room at approximately 10:00 AM, only to find that our key was no longer functioning. A staff member assisted us by calling Daniela to open the door, and we waited for about 30 minutes for her arrival. When Daniela finally arrived, she immediately adopted a hostile and dismissive attitude, raising her voice and stating that she could not open the door, insisting that I go downstairs instead. I explained that if we had been informed of this from the beginning, we would have done so without issue. Furthermore, had she approached us in a respectful and professional manner, I would not have had any objection to retrieving a new key card from the front desk. Ultimately, Daniela did open the door for us after verifying my identity with my ID—proving that a trip to the front desk had not been necessary. However, throughout the interaction, she continued to roll her eyes and interrupt me as I attempted to understand why my key had been deactivated before our scheduled checkout time. By the time we finally got into our room, we had little to no time left before checkout. Thankfully, when we called the front desk, a gentleman was kind enough to extend our checkout time until noon.

Atendimento bom, cafe da manha excelente, mas deixou a desejar na limpeza dos quartos e o wifi/ internet péssimos. Consumiu todo meu pacote de dados e pra quem viaja a trabalho foi péssimo

Easy to access from rail station and walkable. Staff were friendly and nice. Room didn’t have a kettle for tea/coffee so not sure if it was just that one room. Exterior was beautiful and right by the canal.

Metto due stelle e scrivo una recensione solo per raccontare quanto accaduto. L'hotel non lo posso giudicare non l'ho visto, purtroppo io e mia figlia abbiamo preso l'influenza il giorno prima di partire e quindi abbiamo dovuto rinunciare. Sfortunatamente il limite per la cancellazione gratuita era trascorso e pertanto mi sono stati addebitati i costi come previsto dalle condizioni. Premetto, le condizioni sono queste e va bene non pretendo nulla. Ho chiesto, però, la possibilità di trovare un accordo, a giugno dovrò tornare ad alloggiare su Verona, pur pagando una penale ragionevole, ho chiesto di cambiare la mia prenotazione pagando una penale appunto e la differenza prezzo, la cifra che mi è stata richiesta è stata tutto tranne che ragionevole e in sostanza nessuna disponibilità. Per carità, ripeto le condizioni contrattuali sono state rispettate e forse sono io che penso che ti puoi garantire un cliente a volte rinunciando anche a quattro soldi. Una cosa è certa, per me che a Verona mi tocca andare diverse volte all'anno sarebbe stato utile trovare un hotel dove potermi sempre appoggiare, diciamo che per le prossime non sarà questo Hotel.

The location of this property is very convenient to get to train station - and airline bus to the airport ! In terms of the hotel - the room was average and there were some cracks and chips in the floor of the bathroom. The room looked like it needed a refurbishment. We could not get the aircon to work in the room either - which was very warm and when opening the window - it produced a lot of noise from the road below which is busy at all hours. In our room there was also the smell of cigarettes and both myself and partner are non smokers. The lobby and bar area look very well decorated and cosy. Ok for a quick overnight stay if needed - with a bit of an update I think this hotel would be fine !

ホテルは古い感じですが、不便はありませんでした。 駅からスーツケースをもって移動するには、少し不便です。入口が暗く、不安になります。 せめて無料シャトルとかがあるといいのですが。
